Basic Buildings in Lords of Waterdeep

Hey there! I want to talk about the basic buildings in Lords of Waterdeep. These buildings are pretty cool because you can always assign your agents to them as long as there are empty action spaces available.

Now, you might be wondering what I mean by “buildings.” Well, in this game, buildings are special places where you can send your agents to take actions. It’s kind of like having your own little secret hideout in the city.

But not all buildings are created equal. Some buildings are more powerful or valuable than others. That’s why it’s important to choose the right buildings to send your agents to. You want to make sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck, so to speak.

When it comes to choosing buildings, you should take into account what you’re trying to achieve in the game. Do you need more resources? Are you looking to complete quests? Or maybe you want to block your opponents and take control of certain areas of the city.

Understanding the different buildings and how they can help you is key to developing a winning strategy. Each building has its own unique ability or benefit that you can take advantage of. Some buildings might give you extra resources, while others might let you complete quests more efficiently.

And if you like having options, then you’ll love the fact that there are many different buildings to choose from. You can mix and match buildings to create your own personal strategy. You’re in control!

With these factors in mind, let’s take a closer look at some of the basic buildings you’ll find in Lords of Waterdeep:

The Builder’s Hall

This building is all about construction. If you send an agent here, you’ll get to build one of your own buildings for free. It’s like having your own personal construction crew at your disposal. Pretty neat, huh?

The Castle Waterdeep

Now, this is the big one. The Castle Waterdeep is like the heart of the city. When you send an agent here, you’ll get to play an intrigue card. These cards can have all sorts of effects, like giving you extra resources or messing with your opponents’ plans. It’s definitely a powerful building to consider.

The Harbor

The Harbor is all about trade. When you send an agent here, you can either gain some gold or swap out one of your completed quests for a new one. It’s a good way to get some extra gold or switch up your objectives if you’re not happy with what you’ve got.

The Cliffwatch Inn

This building is all about quests. When you send an agent here, you can pick up an extra quest card. It’s like having an extra opportunity to earn victory points. And who doesn’t like victory points?

So, there you have it – a brief overview of some of the basic buildings in Lords of Waterdeep. Remember, the key to success in this game is choosing the right buildings and understanding how they can help you achieve your goals. Good luck!
