Every round starts with a burst of excitement. We place a Victory Point (VP) token on each available Building tile. These tiles are like blank canvases, waiting for someone like you to bring them to life.
With a simple action, you have the power to choose a Building from our collection. Just pay the cost in Gold and watch it come to life under your control. You’ll even get some VP for your efforts, boosting your standing among your fellow builders.
But the excitement doesn’t end there. Once you’ve made your purchase, we’ll replace the empty space with a fresh Building tile, ready for the next visionary to discover.

Castle Waterdeep
Imagine standing at the foot of Mount Waterdeep and looking up at the grand fortress that looms above. It’s hard to miss – the imposing Castle Waterdeep can be spotted from just about every part of the city.
Where is it? Castle Waterdeep is located in the Castle Ward.
What happens there? When you arrive at Castle Waterdeep, you get to be the First Player for the round. You also have the opportunity to draw an Intrigue card, which could shape the course of the game in your favor.
Welcome to the Cliffwatch Inn
At this cozy inn, I’ve got a treasure trove of stories to share. Rumor has it that the inn’s cellars even lead to the city sewers and Undermountain!
Location: You can find us in the North Ward.
Action: How about taking one of the face-up Quest cards from the Cliffwatch Inn? As a bonus, you’ll get 2 Gold ( ) from our supply, which you can add to your Tavern.
Action: If you’re feeling adventurous, grab one of the face-up Quest cards from the Cliffwatch Inn and also draw an Intrigue card.
Action: If you’re looking for something new, I can discard all the face-up Quest cards and replace them with fresh ones from the Quest deck. You can choose a new Quest from the ones on display.
