Get to know the Official Rules for Asara Expansions

Welcome! I wanted to take some time to explain the important rules you need to know about the Asara Expansions. This game is a ton of fun, and I’m excited to guide you through the gameplay basics.

First and foremost, the Asara Expansions introduce new elements to the base game, enhancing your gaming experience. It’s all about expanding your skills and broadening the strategies you can use to win.

These expansions are essential, as they give you more options and opportunities during gameplay. You’ll be able to explore different tactics and adapt your strategy according to the changing circumstances. It’s like having more tools in your toolbox!

When it comes to choosing the right expansions for you, there are a few factors to consider. Firstly, think about your playstyle and what aspects of the game you enjoy the most. Are you a fan of building tall towers, or are you all about the race to the top? Understanding your preferences will help you make the right choice.

Furthermore, it’s important to take into account the level of complexity that each expansion brings. Some expansions add new rules and mechanics, while others focus on introducing new components and strategic options. Consider your experience with the base game and your appetite for complexity.

Additionally, if you like the base game, then you’ll love the expansions. They add a whole new layer of excitement and challenge, making each playthrough unique and engaging. With these expansions, you’ll never get tired of building towers and competing with other players.

Now, let’s talk about some of the expansions available. Each expansion offers a different twist to the game, bringing new elements and strategies into play. Whether it’s new building designs, special abilities for the architects, or different scoring mechanisms, you’ll find something that suits your taste.

Remember, choosing the right expansions is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it can elevate your gameplay and offer exciting new possibilities. On the other hand, it can add complexity and require you to adapt your strategies. It’s a challenge, but one that will keep you engaged and entertained.

So, whether you’re an experienced player looking for a fresh take on Asara or a newcomer eager to dive into this world of tower-building, the expansions are a must-have. They will regenerate your love for the game and provide endless hours of fun.

In conclusion, the Asara Expansions are a game-changer. They bring new life and excitement to an already fantastic game. By following these rules and choosing the right expansions for you, you’ll take your Asara experience to new heights. Get ready to build the most magnificent towers and outsmart your opponents in this thrilling and strategic game of skill and cunning!

Hey there! I’ve got something super cool for you – “The Gifts of the Caliph” expansion! You can play it with the regular Asara game, or if you have the professional version, you can combine them for even more fun!

Let’s set it up!

Check out the five market spaces below – that’s where you’ll put the golden treasures. For the basic game, just take out the four Gift cards with the lighted windows and use the other twenty Gift cards.

To start the game, I’m going to shuffle the Gift cards and place them in a pile face-down next to the board. Every time a new year begins, I’ll randomly distribute five cards face-up to the treasure chest spaces on the board.

How It Works

While we’re playing the game, if you put one of your buyers on a space with a Gift card, you’ll get that card. First, you’ll do whatever the card tells you to do, and then you’ll do the regular action for that space. If there are any Gift cards left on the board at the end of the year, they’ll stay where they are, and we’ll add another Gift to the space.

I need to quickly choose a buyer from the deck and put it in my hand before shuffling the deck.

When playing this game, I take the number of Asari cards that are displayed from the stockpile.

I have to buy a section of a tower from the area it belongs to.

I need to choose the right section, which can be a bit confusing. Each area has different towers with various parts to choose from, and it’s important to understand what each part does.

Some parts, like the foundation, provide stability and support for the tower. Others, like the walls, protect the tower from enemies.

It’s up to me to decide which parts are the most crucial for my tower. I need to take into account the strengths and weaknesses of each part, as well as my own strategy and play style.

For example, if I prefer a defensive play style, I might prioritize buying walls to protect my tower. But if I prefer an offensive play style, I might focus on purchasing offensive parts that can deal more damage to enemy towers.

Once I’ve chosen the right part, I can purchase it and add it to my tower. This will make my tower stronger and more powerful, increasing my chances of victory.

However, I need to be careful with my choices. If I buy the wrong part, it could weaken my tower instead of making it stronger. It’s important to understand the characteristics of each part and how they interact with each other.

Overall, choosing the right part for my tower is crucial for success in the game. Each part has its own unique role and contribution to the tower’s overall performance. By understanding these roles and making strategic choices, I can build a tower that is both powerful and resilient, giving me an advantage over my opponents.

Personal Version

When you play, you automatically get 2 prestige points.

Personal and Creative Version

As soon as you start playing, you instantly earn 2 valuable prestige points – a sweet reward that adds a touch of stardust to your gaming journey.

When you play the game, you’ll need to buy a lighted window for 4 Asari coins. Take one from the stack, place it behind your screen, and shuffle the rest.

In the Professional version of the game, you also get four Gift cards with lighted windows. Add them to the other cards. Then, put an extra treasure chest on a space in the “House of Lighted Windows”. At the start of each game, six Gifts are randomly placed on the spaces with the treasure chests.

The House of the Bottle Genie

The “House of the Bottle Genie” expansion goes along with the rules for the professional version of ASARA.

After setting up the game, simply place the new board next to any side of the playing area. You don’t need to change any of the existing rules.

In the House of the Bottle Genie, players have a chance to make a wish. If you place a buyer on an empty space, you have to pay 3, 5, or 7 Asari coins into the kitty first.

Now you might be wondering what happens next. Well, let me tell you. You have options, my friend. Lots of options. You can do all sorts of things once you’ve got the money in your pocket. You can buy tower sections, build a tower, get some extra funds, or even recruit buyers. The best part is, it doesn’t matter if the space is empty or not. You’ve got the power to make things happen.

Let me give you an example. Say you’ve paid your 3, 5, or 7 Asari. Now, it’s time to make a move. You can choose any move you want. Maybe you’ll buy some tower sections, or maybe you’ll build a tower. It’s up to you, my friend. The choice is yours.

  • If you want some extra money, you can select the space with +12. Then you can take 12 Asari from the kitty.
  • If you want to build a tower, you have to pay the extra cost of the chosen space. After that, you can make your move like normal.
  • If you want to use bribery, you can pay an additional 3 Asari for the House of Spies. Then you can finish the rest of the bribery move like usual.

If you need some extra money, you can choose the space marked with a “+12” and take 12 Asari from the kitty.

If you want to build a tower, you’ll need to pay the extra cost of the chosen space. Once you’ve done that, you can make your move as usual.

If you want to use bribery, you’ll need to pay an extra 3 Asari for the House of Spies. After that, you can complete the rest of the bribery move just like you normally would.
