Supervillains are like puzzle pieces in a game – each one has their own special abilities that make them unique. You can choose to incorporate these abilities into your game in different ways.

If you want your Supervillains to feel strong and unbeatable, have them use their powers and ignore their weaknesses.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for a challenge, make your Supervillains rely on their weaknesses instead of their strengths.

For the ultimate, but also most complex experience, you can have your Supervillains use both their strengths and weaknesses.

And just to make things even more interesting, your trusty Lackey, Mr. Jones, is completely incompetent. He can’t do anything right.

If you want to make the game more interesting, you can mix things up by assigning different strengths and weaknesses to each player. This way, some players can use their Supervillain strength while others can rely on their weakness. It’s a clever way to level the playing field, especially when dealing with annoying older brothers or lifelong nemeses.

Thrilling Endings

Are you ready to add an epic twist to the end of your game? During the setup phase, deal one Finale card to each player, making sure to keep them hidden from one another.

Finales offer a secret set of objectives that, if completed successfully, will earn you bonus Infamy at the game’s conclusion. Achieving some objectives will require you to succeed in 2 or more Brawn, Stealth, Intellect, or Magic contracts.

To keep track of your progress during the game, collect the Contract cards you successfully complete and keep them hidden under your Finale card.

When it’s time to tally up the scores at the end of the game, we enter the Finale Phase. Each player reveals their Finale card and resolves it in the order of play.

Your Finale card gives you Infamy points based on the objectives you’ve accomplished. The fourth objective on the card is always a final contract with a “recommended trait.” Before you attempt this contract, make sure to refresh your henchmen and Supervillain.

The final contract requires a team of three henchmen. If you don’t have enough henchmen for this contract, you automatically fail. However, you can still activate Contract rooms following the usual rules while trying to complete this important contract.

When it’s time to wrap things up, you have the option to play Scheme cards. Just remember, you can only play one negative effect card against your opponents. Now, it’s time to assign your team, gather your trait dice, and give them a roll. If you meet or surpass the target, you’ll earn the Infamy bonus for successfully completing the final contract.

Once everyone has finished their Finales and claimed any bonuses from completing objectives, the player with the highest Infamy becomes the ultimate winner of the game.

For example: Solving a Final Contract

The game is coming to an end, and Dave has revealed his Finale card: Transform into an Omnipotent Superbrain. He’s got 5 henchmen (as indicated). Since he has 2 Scientists, he fulfills the first objective and gains 4 Infamy points.

When it comes to my henchmen, only one of them, Zero Prime, got hurt, so he doesn’t get the second bonus. And none of them have completed 2 or more Intellect contracts, so they miss out on the third bonus.

So, for my final contract, I’m sending Ninja Girl, Amok, and Gray Matter. I give Amok 4 strong dice, Gray Matter 5 smart dice, and Ninja Girl gets 1 smart die.

I roll the dice and get a total of 8 successes. But wait! Since Ninja Girl is on the team, I get to roll again! I pick 4 of the dice and roll again. To my surprise, I end up with 12 successes! The target was 11, so yeah, I succeed. And as a reward, I get an extra 7 Infamy points!
