Hey there! Let me tell you about this awesome game called Run For It. It’s a really exciting dice game where you have to take risks and try to get the highest possible straight each turn. Are you ready to give it a go?

THE PLAY

Before we start the game, let’s have everyone roll a dice. The player with the highest roll will go first.

Now, during each turn, our goal is to create the longest straight we can with our dice.

When it’s my turn to play, I start by rolling all six dice. To build a straight, I need to roll a 1. If I don’t get a 1 on my first roll, my turn is over. But if I do get a 1, I can remove as many dice as I can to build my straight. Once I’ve built my straight, I have a choice. I can either end my turn and keep my points or take a risk and roll the remaining dice to make my straight bigger. But I have to be careful! If I choose to roll again and don’t roll the next number I need for my straight, my turn is over. I won’t get any points for that round.

There’s also a special rule to watch out for. If I don’t get a 1 on my first roll, but I do roll at least three dice with the same number (a three of a kind), I get another chance to roll.

Let me show you an example of how a turn could go.

So, here’s how it goes: I take my turn and roll all six dice. Guess what? I get a 1-2-3-5-5-6. Now I gotta decide what to do with these. I think I’ll set aside the 1-2-3 and give it another shot. Roll number two comes up and it’s a 1-3-4. I’ll take the 4 out and add it to my straight. Only two dice left now. Time to make a choice: end my turn or go for another roll. I’m feeling lucky, so let’s roll again. But hey, if I do that, I’ll need a 5 this time. Nah, let’s not push it. I’ll call it a day and take the points for my 1-2-3-4 straight that I just made.

SCORE & WINNING

Now, let’s talk points. For each die in the straight we make, we earn 5 points. In the example I just gave you, I would’ve scored 20 points for that round. Not bad, huh?

The game keeps going until someone reaches 100 points. Yep, that’s the magic number to win this game! So, who’s gonna be the first to hit the 100-point mark?
