Let’s Talk Cards and Dealing

First things first, we’ll need a standard 52-card deck. Shuffle the cards up and place the deck face down on the table. Now, draw four cards and put them face up to create four columns. Each card you see represents a customer. Easy peasy, right?

Get Ready to Play

When you play the game, your goal is to build four columns of cards in descending order. You can play two or more cards of the same rank in a row within a column.

Let’s start by picking a column and a space to play the card you’re about to draw. Remember, you can place the card anywhere within the column.

Now, draw the top card from the pile and check if it can fit into the chosen position. If it can be played legally in the column, go ahead and put the card there and keep playing. But if the card doesn’t fit, you have two choices: keep the card or discard it.

If you decide to keep the card, you’ll need to discard the entire column you initially chose. The drawn card will then begin a new column in its place.

If you decide to get rid of the card you drew, you’ll need to draw another card and take it out of the game as well. Then, see if the new card you drew can fit into the spot you previously chose. If it doesn’t work, you have to decide whether to keep the new card or throw away the entire column. Just remember, if you discard four cards of the same rank, you’ll lose the game.

All the cards you discard should be placed face up. Make sure you pay close attention to the cards you’ve already discarded.

SCORING

If you manage to go through the whole deck without discarding four cards of the same rank, congratulations! You win the game. Your score is based on the number of cards you have in the columns.
