Get Ready for Labyrinth Junior!
Welcome to Labyrinth Junior, a maze game designed just for kids! Whether you’re playing by yourself or with friends, get ready for an exciting adventure as you navigate the maze and collect as many chips as you can!
How to Set Up:
First, let’s get everything ready. Place the maze tiles into the empty spaces on the board. Keep one tile aside for later in the game. Shuffle the chips and place them next to the board, with the colored side facing down. Now, it’s time to pick your character! Each player can choose a friendly ghost and place it on the matching colored corner. We’re all set up and ready to play!
Let’s Play:
When we start playing the game, we begin with the youngest player, and then we continue clockwise from there. On your turn, you’ll reveal a chip if it hasn’t already been revealed. This is the object that all of us are trying to get to first. Now, take a look at the board and figure out the best way to reach your current object. You’ll grab the extra piece and pick one of the yellow arrows that surround the board. Once you’ve picked an arrow, slide the piece in the direction of that arrow, and it will push the piece on the other end out of the way.
If there was a player who got pushed off the board this way, they’ll be moved to the newly added piece. So, everyone keeps their spot on the board, just in a different location.
Once the new piece has been added, you can choose to move your character as far down the path as you want. Or, if you’d rather, you can choose not to move at all. It’s up to you.
If you can find the thing you’re looking for, grab it and put it in front of you. Next turn, a new thing will show up.
If you can’t get to your goal right away, try to position yourself to reach it on the next turn.
It’s okay for players to be in the same spot on the board.
The Game Comes to an End
The game is over when all the things have been found. The player with the most things wins.
A Twist in the Rules
To make it harder, you can change the rules a bit.
In the game, the chips are shuffled and then dealt out fairly to everyone playing. On my turn, I can look at the top chip to see what I need to find. Once I find that object, I can show everyone the chip and move on to the next secret object. The winner is the person who reveals all their chips first.
