IT’S GO TIME!

Welcome to It’s Turbo Time, a super fun card game for 2 – 4 players. In this game, each turn is a new adventure as you play cards that determine the order of special actions and tile draws from the toy shelf. Get ready to explore, discover, and strategize as you peek at toys, flip them right side up, and even swap them with your opponents. The game ends with a bang, as the player with the most points in their cart is crowned the ultimate winner!

WHAT’S INCLUDED

When you open the box, you’ll find a cool Action Man figure that determines who goes first in each round. There are also 16 toy tiles that you’ll use to score points. The deck consists of 36 cards numbered from 1 to 36.

GETTING STARTED

First, remove four Boosters from the toy tiles. Then, shuffle the remaining tiles and arrange them in a 3×4 grid, all face down. This grid is called the shelf.

Now, give each player one Booster and put any leftover Boosters back in the box. The Booster goes in front of you, face down, and becomes your toy tile row, or cart.

Alright, let’s get this card game started! Here’s what we need to do: shuffle the deck and give each player five cards. Make sure you keep your cards a secret from the other players. We’ll also need a spot next to the deck for a discard pile.

Let’s Play!

Hey there! If you’ve just received a gift, it’s your turn to kick off this fun game called The Play. You’ll be starting with the Turbo Man figure, so make sure you hold on tight!

Step 1: Play a Card

It’s your time to shine! As the player with the Turbo Man figure, you get to pick any card from your hand and play it to the trick. Pay attention to the numbers and symbols on the cards – they’re important for what comes next!

Step 2: Card Powers

Now we’re getting to the good stuff! Each card has a special power, and we’re going to resolve them one by one. The card with the highest ranking goes first, followed by the next highest, and so on. Get ready for some exciting surprises!

Step 3: Take Toys

Who doesn’t love toys? After all the card powers have been resolved, it’s time to collect some awesome toys. You get to take all the toys that have been played to the trick. Remember, the more, the merrier!

Step 4: Turbo Time

Buckle up, because it’s Turbo Time! This is your chance to show off your speed and strategy. You can play any card from your hand to the trick, but there’s a catch – it has to match the color of the first card played in the trick. Ready, set, go!

Step 5: Draw

Finally, it’s time to refill your hand. Each player, starting from the one who played the last card in the trick, draws a card from the deck. Keep building up your hand for the next round!

Swap is an exciting move that lets you switch the places of any two toys. It doesn’t matter if they’re on the toy shelf or in your own shelf. The toys should stay in the same direction they were before the swap – facing up or facing down. And most importantly, make sure you put the toys back exactly where they came from.

Flip is a special move that allows you to turn a toy from facing up to facing down, or vice versa. Just choose a toy that’s already facing up and flip it over to face down, or pick a toy that’s facing down and flip it over to face up. The toys will stay in whatever direction you flip them until a power changes that.

Shuffle is a move that mixes things up. You’ll have to turn all the toys in your cart face down and give them a good shuffle. After the shuffle, the toys will be in a completely new order. Remember, you can take a peek at the toys in your cart before and after you shuffle, just to see what’s what.

Peek is a fun move that lets you sneak a peek at some toys. You can choose any three toys you want to peek at – they can be on the shelf or in someone else’s cart. Just take a look and see what surprises are waiting for you.

Peek and Swap is a cool game where you can take a sneak peek at one toy and then switch any two toys. You don’t have to swap the toy you peeked at.

GETTING THE TOYS

The person who played the highest-ranking card gets to choose a toy from the shelf. Next, the player with the second-highest card gets to pick a toy. The toy they choose goes in their cart, all the way to the right. In a game with only two players, both players get to choose a toy. However, the person who played the highest card gets to peek at a tile before making their choice. They don’t have to pick the toy they peeked at, though.

TURBO TIME

The person who played the lowest card gets to take the Turbo Man figurine. They can also choose to get rid of any cards from their hand that they want. This will allow them to draw more cards in the next step. They will also be the first player in the next round.

GETTING NEW CARDS

So, here’s the deal: you play a card and then grab some new ones. Easy, right? After you discard a card, you get to draw five more cards. And if you run out of cards in the deck, just shuffle up the discard pile and turn it into a fresh new draw pile. Keep the cards flowing!

This process keeps going until all the toys are taken from the shelf. It’s like a whirlwind of fun!

ADDING UP POINTS

Once all the toys are off the shelf, it’s time to calculate your score. Flip over the toys in your cart and get ready to add them up.

Turbo Man is a big winner – they’re worth a whopping 10 points! Talk about a toy titan.

The Lottery Ball is no slouch – they bring in a cool 8 points. Not too shabby!

Hey, even The Gift Certificate gets you some cred – 5 points, to be exact. Not bad for a piece of paper!

But watch out for Turbo Man – they might be worth a lot, but they also deduct 5 points from your score. A double-edged sword!

And now we have Dementor – they score you 3 points. But if you’ve got more than one Demond, that jumps up to an impressive 6 points. They sure are mysterious!

When it comes to scoring points in the game, Demons and Boosters are the ones to look out for!

I’ll explain it to you. Let’s start with Demons. The points you get for having Demons are based on how many you have. If you have 1 Demon, you get 2 points. If you have 2 Demons, you get 10 points. If you have 3 Demons, you get 15 points. And if you have 4 Demons, you get 20 points. See? The more Demons you have, the more points you’ll score!

Now, let’s talk about Boosters. Just like Demons, the points you get for having Boosters depend on how many you have. If you have 1 Booster, you get 2 points. If you have 2 Boosters, you get 4 points. If you have 3 Boosters, you get 9 points. And if you have 4 or more Boosters, you get a whopping 25 points. So, the more Boosters you collect, the more points you’ll rack up!

Time to Win!

Now that you know how to score points, let’s talk about how to win the game. The player with the highest number of points at the end of the game is the winner! It’s as simple as that. But, if there happens to be a tie between players, don’t worry! We have a tiebreaker. In the case of a tie, the player who has collected the most toy tiles will be crowned the ultimate winner. Exciting, right? So, give it your all and aim to have the highest score and the most toy tiles to secure your victory in the game!
