Objective

Your goal in Heist: One Team, One Mission is to successfully complete the heist and escape with the invaluable artifact. But be careful! The security system is sophisticated and will do everything it can to stop you.

Components

To play the game, you will need the following components:

• 1 Game Board
• 4 Agent pawns
• 18 Equipment cards
• 25 Alarm cards
• 9 Security Response cards
• 1 Artifact card
• 4 Player Reference cards

Game Setup

Before you can begin your daring heist, you need to set up the game:

1. Place the Game Board in the center of the playing area.
2. Shuffle the Equipment cards and place them face-down as a draw pile.
3. Shuffle the Alarm cards and place them face-down as a draw pile.
4. Shuffle the Security Response cards and place them face-down as a draw pile.
5. Place the Artifact card face-down on the indicated space on the Game Board.
6. Each player chooses an Agent pawn and places it on a Starting Space.
7. Give each player a Player Reference card.

Gameplay

Once the game is set up, it’s time to start the heist! The game is played over a series of rounds. Each round consists of the following phases:

1. New Alarm Phase: Draw an Alarm card and resolve its effects.
2. Action Phase: Each player takes turns performing actions, such as moving or using Equipment cards.
3. Security Response Phase: Draw a Security Response card and resolve its effects.
4. Artifact Phase: If a player reaches the Artifact, they may attempt to retrieve it.
5. End of Round Phase: Prepare for the next round.

Winning the Game

To win the game, you and your team must successfully retrieve the Artifact and escape before time runs out or you are caught by the security system. Work together, communicate, and make strategic decisions to outsmart the system and pull off the ultimate heist!

Getting Started

If you’re new to this game, start by putting the batteries in the right place. Look for the instructions in the “Battery Installation” section.

Open the top of the safe and carefully place the 12 gold bars into their slots. Make sure they fit correctly. Close the lid when you’re done (check FIG. 1).

Note: Avoid touching or pushing down on the safe lid while playing. If you do, the safe won’t release the gold bars when you win.

So, here’s what you need to do to get started:

First, put the safe right in the middle of the table. That way, everyone can reach it easily.

Next, each player should pick which role they want to play. You can be the Hacker, the Money Man, the Explosives Expert, or the Lookout. Sit on the side of the safe that matches your role, so you can easily reach your button.

The Money Man is in charge of all the money in the game. Make sure to keep it close to you. You’ll want to separate it into three piles: $1 million, $3 million, and $5 million.

Now, it’s time to set up the tools. Place the 8 tools around the safe, so everyone can get to them easily.

Getting Started with the Game

Alright, it’s time to start the game! Here’s what you need to do:

1. First, locate the ON-OFF switch at the bottom of the safe.
2. If the switch is already ON, no worries! Simply press any button to activate the game.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind:

• You need to select at least 2 roles to play the game. However, if you’re up for an extra challenge, you can still play with all 4 roles, even if you have just 1, 2, or 3 players.
• If you haven’t selected any roles or just one role within 5 seconds, the game will ask you to select roles again. If this happens twice in a row, the game will go into sleep mode.

Great! With these simple steps, you’re all set to dive into the exciting world of the game. Get ready for an adventure like no other!

“SELECT LEVEL”: As the game starts, the boss will tell us to choose a challenge level. We have 5 levels to choose from, starting with the first one. To pick a higher level, one of us needs to press any button on the safe until we reach the challenge level we want. Once we’re on the desired level, none of us should press any other buttons until the game begins.

Playing the Game

Once the level is chosen and announced, the game begins. It’s time for the boss to give us some commands:

• GET command: The boss tells a player to grab a tool from the table or another player and place it in front of themselves. For example, “Hey Money Man, get the laptop!”
• PASS command: The boss instructs us to pass a tool to a specific player. There’s no hint about who currently has the tool, so stay vigilant. For instance, “Pass the goggles to the Explosives Expert!”
• TRADE command: We’re tasked with trading one tool for another. The boss doesn’t let us know who currently possesses the items. An example would be, “Trade the laptop for the gloves!”

Making Use of Tools

When playing this game, it’s essential to understand how to use different tools. Let me guide you through it.

• USE command: This command is used to test if players have correctly followed the “get”, “pass”, and “trade” commands. The player who has the specified tool must quickly press the button with their finger. For example, “Use the flashlight!”

Note: In levels 4 and higher, players may need to use two tools simultaneously. In this case, both players must press their buttons at the exact same time.

Mistakes

If a player fails to press their button on time, or if the wrong player presses the button, it will be considered a mistake. The boss will notify the team when they have only one remaining mistake.

If a team accumulates 4 mistakes in level 1, or 3 mistakes in levels 2 and above, the game ends with an alarming sound accompanied by a police siren.

Opening the Safe

But hey, even if we don’t reach that $50 million mark, don’t worry! The Money Man can still check our score by counting the money we did manage to collect. Who knows, maybe next time we’ll hit that perfect game!

To start playing again, all you need to do is carefully push down on the top of the safe, take off the lid, and put the gold bars back in. Then, just press any button to begin a new game.

Now, here’s something extra special: if your team is able to complete level 5 without making any mistakes, you’ll unlock a hidden 6th level. But be warned, this level is extremely difficult! In addition to the usual commands, there’s a new one called “CHANGE ROLES command.” When this command is given, everyone has to get up and move in a clockwise direction to take the role of the player to their left.

You can keep playing the bonus level as long as you don’t turn off the game or replace the batteries. If no one presses any buttons for 5 seconds, the game will go into sleep mode. To wake it up again, just press any button on the safe.
