Object of the Game

Setup

1. First, put the board right in the center of where we’re going to play.
2. Next, everybody needs a pen or pencil and some answer sheets.
3. Then, we each choose a colored game piece and place it on the “Start” spot.

1. First off, we all roll the die. The person with the highest roll gets to be the DASHER, which is the leader for the round. The DASHER then rolls the die again to decide which category we’ll be playing. If they roll a 1, we play the first category on the card. If they roll a 2, we play the second category, and so on. But if they roll a 6, they get to choose any category they want. (By the way, if everyone agrees, the DASHER can choose a category without rolling the die at all)
2. Now, the DASHER reads the category question out loud from the blue side of the Game Card. We all write down that question in the “Question” section of our answer sheets. Each category has its own question:

4. Peculiar People – Can you identify this person?
5. Incredible Initials – Do you know what these initials stand for?

Scoring

• You get 1 point for each vote your answer receives.
• If you guess the REAL answer correctly, you earn 2 points.
• If nobody guesses the real answer, the DASHER gets 3 points.
• If your answer is very similar to the real answer, you also get 3 points.

End of the Game

Now, here’s how you win. Each round, the player to the left of the DASHER takes their turn first, followed by the other players in clockwise order. The player who reaches the “Finish” space on the board first is the winner!

Note: It’s a good idea to pick a card from the box and read all the clues and answers. This will help you get familiar with the categories and how the answers are presented.

The Game for Two

First, we take turns being the DASHER. We roll the die and draw a card with a question. But here’s the twist – before we reveal the answer on the card, the DASHER makes up their own answer!

Now it’s time to turn over the card and reveal the real answer. The DASHER reads both choices – the made-up answer and the real one – to the guessing player.

Here’s where the fun begins. The guessing player has to decide which answer is the real one and which one is the bluff. They vote for their choice.

If the guesser votes for your bluff, you get to advance 3 spaces. But if they vote for the real answer, they only advance 2 spaces. Keep alternating turns until someone reaches the “Finish” space!
