Grifters Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I play cards from my Refresh Area?

A: No, you can only play cards from your hand. Your Refresh Area cards will return to your hand at the end of the turn.

Q: Are the cards in my Refresh Area inside my Hideout?

A: No, your Hideout consists only of the three Night spaces. The cards in your Refresh Area are no longer considered part of your Hideout.

Q: What happens when I draw a card from the Specialist Deck but there are none left?

A: If there are cards in the Discard Pile, those cards should be shuffled to regenerate the Specialist Deck. However, if there are no cards in the Discard Pile, the game will immediately end.

Q: What happens if I try to steal from another player’s Stash, but they don’t have enough ISK?

A: In such a scenario, you will only be able to take the amount of ISK that is available.

Q: What is a Team?

A: A Team is when I gather two or more cards in a single Night spot in my Hideout.

Q: How does the Femme Fatale work?

A: When I bring out the Femme Fatale, I put it on Night One of my Hideout. I also have the option to play another card from my hand and pull off a second trick during that turn.

If I choose to do that, I go through the Advance Time phase again before I play the additional card into Night One.

Once I use the Femme Fatale, it becomes the Night Two spot in my Hideout. The cards that were previously in Night One move up to Night Three. The cards that were in Night Two and Night Three go into my Refresh Area and are returned to my hand at the end of the turn.

Q: How does the Thug work?

A: When a Thug performs a caper, you can play another card along with it. This will allow you to steal 1 million ISK from each of your opponents for every card in their Hideout that shares the same skill as the card played with the Thug, and is not part of a team.

Q: How does the Inside Man work?

A: The Inside Man card has a special ability that lets you switch it (Abduct) with any card from an opponent’s Hideout. Once you do, you can then use the ability of the exchanged card.

The Inside Man card is unique in several ways. It cannot be copied by any other card.

You can use the Inside Man card as any skill, but only as one skill when played as part of a team or when paired with the Thug. If the Thug targets the Inside Man, it will count as any skill.

Q: How does the Snitch work?

Q&A

Q: Can the Snitch move cards in any Hideout?

A: Absolutely! The Snitch gives you the power to move cards in any player’s Hideout. This includes your own Hideout as well as other players’ Hideouts. It’s like having the ultimate control over the game!

Q: How does the card movement work?

A: When you use the Snitch to move cards, you can switch all the cards from one Night location to another. The best part is, the cards in a Team stay together. So you can rearrange cards strategically and plan your moves carefully.

Q: What happens if a Ringleader is randomly Abducted?

A: If a player decides to randomly Abduct a Ringleader, don’t worry! The Ringleader will be returned and no card will be Abducted as a result. It’s like a lucky break for you!
