IF YOU HAD TO…
Hey, have you ever played Would You Rather? Well, let me tell you, If You Had To takes that game to a whole new level of excitement! Unlike other games that make you choose between terrible things, this game keeps it simple and fun! With 250 playing cards, each one presenting its own crazy and hilarious scenarios, it’s a tough call to decide which one is worse!
But here’s the twist – not only do you have to choose, you also have to argue your choice! It’s like a battle of wits and preferences. And trust me, it’s even harder than it sounds! Imagine having to decide between eating all your meals off Vin Diesel’s head or filling your pants with gravy every single morning. If that’s not a tough decision, just wait till you see the other cards!
SETUP
Alright, let’s get started! First things first, we shuffle the cards. Then, each player is dealt five cards. Once everyone has their cards, we place the deck facedown in the middle of the group. And that’s it – we’re all set to start the game!
GAMEPLAY
FOR SMALLER GROUPS
Hey there! Let me tell you how to play this awesome game. First, we need to decide who the Judge is gonna be. Usually, we go with the most attractive person in the group, but you can always come up with your own method. Once we have our Judge, it’s time to get started!
Everyone has a bunch of cards in their hand. The goal is to choose a card that you think the Judge would dislike the most. It’s like a game of predicting their preferences. After we’ve all made our choices, the Judge gathers the cards, turns them over, and reads them out loud to the group. Exciting, right?
Now it’s time for the argument. Each player gets to explain why their card is the worst. The Judge can even ask some questions to clear up any doubts. We love a good debate! Once we’re done arguing, the Judge makes their decision and picks the worst card. That unfortunate player gets a point. Oops!
Don’t worry if you lose a point. We refresh our hands by drawing a card from the top of the deck, until we all have five cards again. Then, it’s the turn of the person on the left of the Judge to take over as the new Judge. The game keeps going until someone reaches five points. Who will it be?
FOR LARGER GROUPS
So, here’s what we’re gonna do. We’re gonna split the group into two teams, alright? And guess what? The smartest person in the whole group gets to be the Judge first. Cool, right? We’re all gonna debate about who it should be, and then we’ll have our Judge.
Now, listen up. The Judge is gonna draw two cards and give one to each team. Got it? Good. What you gotta do next is try to convince the Judge that your card is the worst one out of the two. Yeah, you heard me right, the worst one. After all the persuading is done, the Judge decides which card they think is the worst, and that team gets a point. Simple, right? The first team to get three points wins the game!
But hold on, we gotta set some rules. If there’s too much arguing going on and things get out of hand, the Judge can give each team one minute to make their case. And guess what? You can choose a spokesperson to do the talking for your team. Pretty cool, huh?
Time to wrap it up!
Alright, folks, the game ends when a player gets five points or when a team reaches three points. Simple as that. And if you’re the first one to hit those marks, congratulations, you’re the winner! Good luck, everyone!
