Doge game rules – how to play doge

DOGE

Hey there! Let’s talk about a cool game called DOGE set in the beautiful city of Venice. In this game, I’m gonna try to build up my power and gain influence. The more influence I have, the more cool stuff I can do, like building houses and controlling advisers. But here’s the twist – the voting is all about influence too. So, if I have more influence over more cities, I can really shake things up! Pretty exciting, right?

SETUP

Alright, here’s how we get set up. First things first, let’s put the game board right in the middle of the playing area. Oh, and don’t forget to place those advisers on their special spots on the right-hand side of the board. Now, each of us will pick a color to represent ourselves in the game. Make sure you grab all the pieces in your chosen color – control rings, ballot markers, palaces, and houses. We’re all good to go!

Alright, here’s what you need to do:

First, grab your ballot markers and make sure they’re facing down so nobody can see them. You can take a peek at your own markers whenever you want, though. Now, let’s organize those playing cards. Separate them by color and put them in your supply area.

Next, divide the voting order cards into two stacks: one brown and one gray. Shuffle each stack on its own. Take the brown cards and place them face up on the brown spaces at the bottom of the game board. Then, take the gray cards and place them face down on the gray spaces on the board. Now, we’re all set to start!

It’s time to play!

Playing the game takes several years. Every year, districts will choose advisors, and Quarantia will choose three advisors. A year has two parts. First, everyone will secretly place their ballots facedown in the area they want. In a three-player game, there are four rounds of placement. In a four-player game, there are three rounds.

Next, it’s time for elections. The two players with the most votes can build houses in their chosen area, if they want to. If a player meets the requirements, they can turn their houses into a palace. The order of voting is determined by the voting cards. Once an area is finished, the facedown cards are revealed.

Hey there! Let me break down how this voting game works for you. All the players reveal their ballot markers simultaneously. Then, we add up the totals for each player. The one with the highest sum wins the vote for that particular area, and the second highest becomes the runner-up. That’s when they can start moving their advisers and building houses in that area. Once the voting is done, we’ll begin the next phase.

THE GAME ENDS

The game gets wrapped up when a player accomplishes one of these tasks: placing eight palaces in four districts, having seven palaces in five districts, or having at least one palace in each district. The first person to achieve any of these goals is the winner of the game!
