Setting Up the Game

To set up the game, you’ll need some painter’s tape and a surface to play on. Start by creating six boxes side by side if you’re playing with older kids, or three boxes side by side for younger ones. Use the marker to label each box at the top with the correct numerical place. From right to left, label the boxes: ones place, tens place, hundreds place, thousands place, ten thousand place, and hundred thousand place.

Now it’s time to prepare the game pieces. Cut out pieces of paper in the shape of feet and write the numbers zero through nine on them. Make sure to have multiple pieces for each number so they can be used more than once in a round. Each player will get a pile of feet, with each pile containing multiple copies of the numbers zero through nine.
