Main Objective

Here’s the deal: you are the brave hero on a mission to save Tofu Kingdom from the dangerous dragon. Your main objective is to navigate through the kingdom’s challenging levels, defeat the dragon, and restore peace and harmony.

Levels and Challenges

Each level will throw exciting challenges your way. You’ll have to jump over obstacles, collect power-ups, and discover secret passages. These challenges will test your skills and wit, so be prepared for some epic action!

Controls

Now, let’s talk about the controls. You’ll be using the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the hero. Press the up arrow key to jump, the left arrow key to move left, and the right arrow key to move right.

Power-ups and Rewards

Throughout your journey, you’ll come across power-ups that can boost your hero’s abilities. Collect coins to earn points and unlock special rewards. These power-ups and rewards will assist you in your battle against the dragon.

Be on the Lookout!

As you progress through the levels, you’ll encounter dangerous enemies and tricky obstacles. Be alert and stay focused to avoid getting caught or falling into traps. Your hero’s energy is limited, so make sure to replenish it by collecting energy orbs along the way.

Remember, you’re not alone in this adventure! You’ll encounter friendly NPCs who can provide valuable information, resources, and assistance. Interact with them wisely and build strong alliances to increase your chances of victory.

When we play the game Prince Mochi, we take turns being Prince Mochi and asking questions to the other players. It’s a fun way to find out the truth or a lie!

Here’s how it works: Each player gets a turn to be Prince Mochi. Prince Mochi can ask a question to each player at the table. The other players have to answer truthfully or with a lie, depending on their character role for the round.

If Prince Mochi guesses correctly and finds the princess, he earns points. But if he guesses wrong, the other players get points. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!

Setting Up the Game

The youngest player goes first as Prince Mochi. They put the Prince Mochi coaster in front of them. From now on, they are Prince Mochi for the round.

Prince Mochi then takes the coasters shown on the next page, depending on how many players there are. There will always be one extra coaster to play with, except in an 8-player game.

I mix them up, and give one face down to each player. The extra coaster goes face down in the middle of the table. The coasters that are not being used are set aside and won’t be used for the rest of the game.

Here’s how many players you need for the game:

– 3-player game: Princess Tofu, Queen Tofu, and Tofu Maid.

– 4-player game: Princess Tofu, Queen Tofu, Tofu Maid, and Tofu Guard.

– 5-player game: Princess Tofu, Queen Tofu, Tofu Maid, Tofu Guard, and Tofu Chef.

– 6-player game: Princess Tofu, Queen Tofu, Tofu Maid, Tofu Guard, Tofu Chef, and Tofu Minister.

– 7 or 8-player game: All of the Character Coasters are used. For 8-player games, there’s no extra coaster.

The Soybean Tokens go in the center of the table and are used to count points.

Now, let’s start the search for Princess Tofu.

Game Play

1. First, I close my eyes while everyone else turns over their coasters, including the one in the middle of the table. All the players silently reveal their characters to each other, and it’s up to me to memorize who is who. Once I’m ready, all the coasters are flipped back over and I can open my eyes.
2. To uncover the princess, I get to ask each player one question. I can ask them in any order I want (check out “Asking Questions” for more details). When they answer, they have to refer to the symbol in the top right corner of their Character Coaster (“Answering Questions” will tell you more about this).
3. After I’ve asked every player one question, I can choose one person to ask an additional question to. Then comes the big decision: Who do I think is the princess?

Once I make my decision, I’ll flip over the coaster I suspect belongs to the princess. If I don’t think any of the other players are the one I’m looking for, I’ll flip over the center coaster. The symbol in the upper left corner of that coaster becomes the winning symbol for the round, and we each get points based on that (check out how the soybeans are awarded).

Now it’s the person to my left’s turn to be Prince Mochi. They take the prince coaster and set up a new round with the Character Coasters.

When I’m playing as Prince Mochi, I’m only allowed to ask one of three questions:

1. Where is Princess Tofu?

2. Who are you?

3. Who is he/she? (talking about any player or the coaster in the center of the table)

Those are the only questions I can ask.

Hey there! So, here’s the deal. Prince Mochi has got some questions for you, and you need to answer them correctly. But here’s the twist: you gotta pay attention to the symbol that’s chilling in the top right corner of your Character Coaster. That symbol is gonna give you a clue about how you should answer. Cool, huh?

• I, Princess Tofu, and my friend, Tofu Chef, have a special rule that we must follow – we can only tell the truth. We believe that honesty is the best policy!
• On the other hand, Queen Tofu, Tofu Minister, and Tofu Guard have a very different rule. They are required to always lie. It’s their job to keep secrets and deceive others.
• Now, there are two tricky characters in our kingdom – Pudding Spy and Tofu Maid. They are free to choose whether to lie or to tell the truth. It’s up to them to decide how they want to play the game.

The Soybean Award

When I play a game called “Awarding Soybeans,” I get to earn soybeans based on the symbol I uncover in the top left corner of a coaster. It’s like a little surprise that determines how many soybeans I win.

In this game, there are 3 symbols that you might find on your coaster. Take a look at the symbol in the bottom right corner. If it matches the winning symbol, you get one soybean.

If Prince Mochi finds the princess by revealing the Heart as the winning symbol, he, Princess Tofu, and Tofu Chef all get one soybean.

But if Prince Mochi guesses wrong and turns over a coaster with:

• The Mask as the winning symbol, Tofu Maid and Pudding Spy get one soybean.
• The Crown as the winning symbol, Queen Tofu, Tofu Minister, and Tofu Guard get one soybean.

Depending on how many Character Coasters are being used, there might be one, several, or no players who get soybeans at the end of each round. And remember, you can keep your soybeans as points for the next round.

The Game’s End

The length of the game is determined by the number of players involved.

• If there are 3 or 4 players, we’ll play until each of us has won the title of Prince Mochi 3 times, which means we’ll have 9 or 12 rounds.
• If there are 5 or 6 players, we’ll play until each of us has won the title of Prince Mochi 2 times, which means we’ll have 10 or 12 rounds.
• If there are 7 or 8 players, we’ll play until each of us has won the title of Prince Mochi 1 time, which means we’ll have 7 or 8 rounds.

After we finish all the rounds, the player with the highest score will be declared the winner.

In case of a tie, the players will share the victory.
