Exploding Kittens Party Game Rules
Welcome, my friend, to the wild and wacky world of Exploding Kittens!
Glad you could join me on this chaotic adventure. This game is all about strategy, surprises, and the occasional burst of mayhem. Let’s dive right in!
Objective:
The objective of Exploding Kittens is simple: be the last player standing. I mean, who wouldn’t want to avoid an explosive encounter with a feline, right?
Setup:
Before we start, make sure you have your deck of cards ready. Each player will receive 1 Defuse card, which is your secret weapon against the dreaded Exploding Kittens. Give each player 4 more cards from the deck and let’s get this party started!
Gameplay:
Now, here’s where things get interesting. On your turn, pick a card from your hand, and play it. It’s as simple as that.
If you play a regular card, follow the instructions on that card and carry out its effects. Some cards allow you to steal cards from other players, skip your next turn, or even see the future. Remember, the power is in your paws!
But beware! There are also those pesky Exploding Kitten cards lurking within the deck. If you draw one of these combustible critters, you’re out of the game…unless you have a Defuse card. Play your Defuse card and place the Exploding Kitten back into the deck, in any location you desire. Phew, that was close!
Strategy:
When playing Exploding Kittens, it’s all about anticipation and outsmarting your opponents. Keep an eye on how many Defuse cards are in play. If all the Defuse cards have been used, well, let’s just say it’ll be raining cats and explosions.
Use the Action and Nope cards wisely. These powerful tools can save your skin or throw your opponents off balance. Oh, and remember, you can always play multiple cards in one turn. Talk about a blast!
Conclusion:
Well, my friend, are you ready to dive headfirst into the charming chaos of Exploding Kittens? It’s a game of danger, cunning, and unpredictable fun. So gather your friends, shuffle those cards, and let the fur fly. Let the adventure begin!

With these games in your arsenal, your game nights will never be the same. So go ahead, unleash your inner game master!

- First, I’ll need you to take out all the Exploding Kittens 9 cards from the deck and put them aside.

- Next, I want you to go through the rest of the deck and choose cards based on the number of players. If there are 2-3 players, only use the cards with a paw print in the corner (44).

For 4-7 players: Look for the cards without a paw print in the corner. These are the ones you’ll use (69 cards in total).
Defuse Cards
You and everyone else starts with a Defuse Card. It’s the ultimate card in the game and the only one that can save you from an Exploding Kitten. If you happen to draw an Exploding Kitten, instead of getting blown up, you can play the Defuse Card and secretly put the Kitten back anywhere you want in the Draw Pile. Remember, the more Defuse Cards you have, the better!

When it’s time to play Exploding Kittens, here’s how you set up the game:
It’s Your Turn!
When it’s your turn, gather all 8 cards in your hand and take a look. You can choose one of the following actions:

I. Pass
If you don’t want to play any cards from your hand, you can pass your turn to the next player.
II. Play
If you have a card you’d like to use, you can play it according to its instructions or abilities.

Hey there! Let me show you how to play this exciting card game! First things first, play a card by placing it FACE UP on top of the Discard Pile. Then, follow the instructions on the card. Easy peasy, right?
But wait, there’s more! After you’ve followed the card’s instructions, you can keep playing. In fact, you can play as many cards as you want. The more, the merrier!
Now, here’s what you do to end your turn. Draw a card from the top of the Draw Pile and add it to your hand. But here’s the catch, cross your fingers and hope it’s not an Exploding Kitten. That wouldn’t be fun! Oh, and a small difference from other games is that you actually end your turn by drawing a card.
When it’s your turn to play in this game, you need to know that the play continues in a clockwise direction around the table.
Here’s a important tip: you can play as many or as few cards as you want on your turn. Just remember to draw a card at the end to signal that your turn is over.

Game Over
If I’m the last one standing without exploding, I win the game! That’s right, victory is mine.
Don’t you worry about running out of cards in the Draw Pile. Why? Because I’ve made sure there are plenty of Exploding Kittens waiting to eliminate everyone except one lucky survivor.
Three Little Tips

In the game, it’s a good idea to save your cards early on. This way, the risk of exploding is low. You can keep track of the cards in the Draw Pile to calculate the odds.
There are no rules about how many cards you can have in your hand. If you run out of cards, don’t worry. Just keep playing. On your next turn, you’ll draw at least one more card.
Some cards, called Cat Cards, don’t have any instructions on them. These cards can be collected and played as matching Pairs. If you play matching Pairs of Cat Cards, you get to choose another player and steal a random card from their hand.
Field Guide

The Amazing Exploding Kitten Card
Hey there! Let’s talk about the incredible Exploding Kitten card. Brace yourself, because this card is a game-changer!
As soon as you draw the Exploding Kitten card, you better be ready to take action. It’s kind of like a ticking time bomb. If you don’t have a Defuse Card in your possession, things are about to get explosive.
Now, don’t panic! Here’s what you need to do. You have to get rid of all your cards, including the dreaded Exploding Kitten itself. It’s a clear-the-deck situation, my friend. So, say goodbye to your hand and shuffle everything back into the deck. It’s the only way to survive!
Remember, this card is no joke. It’s a game-changer that can turn the tables in an instant. But don’t worry, every challenge brings an opportunity. Embrace the chaos and strategize your way to victory!
So, next time you find yourself face-to-face with the Exploding Kitten card, stay calm, play smart, and defy the odds. It’s up to you to come out on top!

Stay Alive!
Hey there, if you happen to draw an Exploding Kitten, don’t panic! I’ve got you covered. Drop your Defuse Card on the table, right on top of that ticking time bomb, and watch the tension melt away. You just saved yourself from certain doom!
Now, to really mess with your opponents, here’s a sneaky move you can pull. Take that Exploding Kitten and slip it back into the deck, without peeking at the other cards or shuffling anything around. Where should you hide it? Well, that’s up to you. Want to make someone’s heart skip a beat? Plop it right on top of the deck! Just make sure no one catches on to your ingenious plan by keeping the deck out of sight under the table.
Remember, once you’ve played your Defuse Card, your turn comes to an end. So make your move, stay cool under pressure, and keep those explosions at bay.

The Double Slap
When you play the Double Slap card, you end your turn without drawing a card and make any other player take 2 turns in a row. It’s like giving them a double dose of turns!
It’s important to note that this is different from drawing 2 cards in a row. The player you target with this card will take their first turn as usual, playing cards and/or drawing. But instead of it being the next player’s turn, it’s their turn again!
Now, here’s the twist. If the player you targeted fights back by playing a Slap Card, they get to choose another player to suffer the consequences. This means that player will have to take all the remaining turns, starting with 4 turns, then 6, and so on. However, the game always continues from the targeted player.
And here’s an important rule: if you happen to draw and defuse an Exploding Kitten during a series of turns, you don’t get a break. You have to keep taking your remaining turns after reinserting the Kitten back into the deck.
The Triple Slap
The Triple Slap card works in the same way as the Double Slap, but instead of adding just 2 turns, it adds a whopping 3 turns to the player who falls victim to it. That’s triple the fun!

Skip
Just say “pass” and finish your turn without picking a card.
For example, let’s say you play a Skip Card when someone throws a Double Slap Card at you. Your move will only end one of the two turns. But if you play two Skip Cards, you’ll end both turns at once.

Reverse
Imagine this: you’re playing a game, and it’s your turn. But instead of taking your turn and drawing a card, you have the power to completely switch things up and end your turn without drawing. Pretty cool, right?
That’s exactly what the Reverse card does. When you play this card, the order of play is reversed. So if you’ve been slapped and you play the Reverse card, you get to shake things up and switch the order of play. It’s like hitting the reset button on the game, but with a twist. And the best part? You still have another turn after that.

Shuffle
Shuffling the Draw Pile is an important move in the game. It’s like mixing up all the cards without looking at them. This can be super helpful, especially when you have a feeling that an Exploding Kitten card is hiding in there.

Get It from the Bottom
When it’s your turn, complete it by picking the card at the bottom of the Draw Pile.

Request
You can use this power to demand that another player give you one card from their hand. However, it’s up to them to decide which card to give you.

See What’s Ahead
I can take a glimpse of what’s to come by peeking at the top three cards from the Draw Pile. I’ll carefully put them back in the exact same order, keeping their secrets to myself. It’s a nifty little trick that I love to use.

Change the Course
Imagine this: you get to sneak a peek at the top 3 cards in the Draw Pile, and you have the power to rearrange them as you please. How cool would that be? Well, let me tell you about a fascinating skill I possess called “Alter The Future.” With this ability, I can privately reveal those cards and change their order to my liking. Exciting, right? After I’m done, I’ll place them back on top, still face down, and carry on with my turn. It’s like having a secret window into the future, allowing me to shape the course of the game. Talk about a game-changer!

Well, well, well… guess what?
Prepare yourself for some serious mischief because when I play a Nope card, everything comes to a screeching halt! Yeah, you heard me right. Stop what you’re doing right now, unless, of course, you happen to have an Exploding Kitten or a Defuse Card in your hand. In that case, carry on.
Now, here’s where things get really interesting. That Nope card of mine? It’s got some serious power. Imagine this: it can make any card disappear into thin air, just like that. Boom! Poof! Gone. And it doesn’t stop there. If I play a Nope on top of another Nope, well, well, well… that’s when things really start to get crazy. All those Nos add up to a big Yup! Yep, you heard me right. A Nope can be transformed into a Yup with just a flick of the wrist.
Oh, did I mention that the timing of a Nope card is completely up to me? That’s right. I get to yell “Nope!” right in your face, even if it’s not my turn. And any cards that were supposed to be part of that action? Well, they just vanish into thin air. You won’t be seeing them again, buddy. They’re gone forever, chilling out in the Discard Pile.

Cat Cards
Hey there! Let’s talk about these Cat Cards. They may look ordinary, but believe me, they’re far from it. You see, each Cat Card by itself is pretty useless. But here’s the catch: if you manage to collect two Cat Cards that match, something magical happens. You can combine them into a Pair and use their power to swipe a random card from your opponent. Pretty cool, huh?
But that’s not all. These Cat Cards have an even more amazing trick up their sleeves. They can be part of something called Special Combos. Now, Special Combos are a whole new level of awesomeness. When you manage to create a Special Combo with these Cat Cards, get ready for some serious game-changing moves. Trust me, it’s going to be epic!

Feral Cat
Hey there! I’m Feral Cat, a special kind of Cat Card that you can use just like any other Cat Card. No fancy instructions, just pure feline power!
But remember, I can’t be used as a non-Cat Card. Sorry, no Shuffling or Double Slapping for me. I’m all about embracing my inner feline and unleashing my cat-like prowess. Meow!
