Pass the Peas Game Rules
Sitting together for a meal is more fun with a bit of playful competition!
Hey there! Have you ever been to a big family dinner where everyone is talking and laughing? It’s usually a great time, but what if we added a little game to make it even more fun? That’s where Pass the Peas comes in!
How to Play:
1. Gather all the players around the table. Make sure everyone has enough space to pass the peas.
2. One person starts with the peas. They can say, “Pass the peas, please.”
3. The person next to them then passes the peas to the person on their other side while saying, “Thank you, I got the peas.”
4. The game continues, with the peas being passed around the table, each person saying, “Pass the peas, please,” and the next person saying, “Thank you, I got the peas.”
5. The challenge is to pass the peas as quickly as possible without dropping them or interrupting the flow.
Tips to make it more exciting:
– Time the game to see how fast the peas can go around the table.
– Add a twist by passing two peas at a time, or even a small bowl of peas.
– For an extra challenge, try passing the peas using only your non-dominant hand.
Why play Pass the Peas?
It’s a fantastic way to make mealtime more engaging and interactive. By playing Pass the Peas, we get everyone involved, and it adds a little excitement to the conversation. Plus, it’s a simple game that anyone can play, regardless of age or skill level. So next time you’re sitting down for a meal, why not give it a try? You’ll be surprised at how much fun passing a few peas can be!

So, the goal of the game is to create words and score as many points as possible!
Let’s Get Started
First, we need to set up the game. Each player will need to pick a bag of letter peas and grab the matching pod letter holder. Then, we’ll place the sand timer right in the middle of the play area.
How to Play the Game
- If I was the last one to eat peas, it means I get to go first. Pretty cool, huh?
- Grab 10 letter peas from your bag and put them in front of your letter holder so you can see them.
- Now, let’s start the game! Choose someone to turn over the 30-second sand timer. Everyone needs to hurry and make a word using their letter peas.
- Once the timer runs out, it’s time to pass the letter peas. Give your letter holder to the player sitting on your left.
Let’s get creative and have some fun with the game called “Pass the Peas”! Here’s how it works:
1. First, turn the timer over. Everyone now has 30 seconds to come up with new words using letter peas. You can place them on, in front of, or after the existing letters on other players’ pea pods. But remember, you can’t cover all the previous player’s peas. Leave at least one letter uncovered. When the timer ends, it’s time to “pass the peas” to the player on your left. Keep repeating this process until your original pea pod comes back to you.
2. Once you have your original pea pod, it’s time to score the game. Turn all the pods around so that everyone can see them. Now comes the exciting part! Each player earns one point for every pea that is still showing on their pod.
Enjoy the game and have a great time playing “Pass the Peas” with your friends and family!

I have a challenge for you!
Let’s talk about a fun word game called “Pea Pod.”
What’s the game about?
In Pea Pod, players create words using letter tiles. The game starts with a word, and each player takes turns making new words out of the existing ones. The twist is that each word must have at least one letter from the original word visible, and you can’t change the order of the letters.
Here are some extra rules to make the game more exciting:
- If a word is misspelled, the tiles used for that word are removed. If this creates an empty space in the pea pod, the next player can create a new word if they have enough tiles left.
- If a player can make a word with the remaining tiles when the pea pod is passed to them, they earn extra points.
- You can add letters before and after the existing word to create a new word, but you can’t cover a letter with the same letter.
So, are you ready to put your word skills to the test? Give Pea Pod a try and see how many words you can create!
