ZHENG FEN

Hey there! So, Zheng Fen is this really cool card game that’s kinda like Big 2 and Hundred. You know, it’s all about climbing to get rid of your cards and scoring tricks along the way. Plus, the first player to go out gets to keep the last player’s tricks and really boost their points. It’s like a genius strategy game for all you big thinkers and master planners out there!

SETUP

Alright, let’s get started with the setup. First things first, you gotta add two extra Jokers to the deck. Just make sure they look different from each other. One’s gonna be called the Big Joker, and the other’s gonna be called the Small Joker. Then, someone shuffles the deck, and each player draws a card to figure out who sits where. Easy peasy!

When it’s time to choose our seats, the player holding the highest card gets to go first, while the player with the lowest card gets to pick last. Once the seating order is established, we can start dealing the cards. The dealer shuffles the deck and places it in the middle of the table. We then take turns drawing one card at a time until the deck is empty.

Now, we’re all set to begin the game!

How to Play

First off, the player who goes first needs to lead the trick by playing one or more cards in a legal combination. Each subsequent player must then try to play a combination that’s higher than the previous one. To be considered a legal play, the cards must be of the same type but have a higher rank. The ranking of the cards goes in this order: Big Joker, Small Joker, two, ace, King, Queen, Jack, and then ten to three.

If I can’t play a better combination, I have to pass. But if all the players pass, the last bidder can try again with another combination. We keep playing until there have been three passes in a row.

Now, sometimes we can use jokers as wild cards. That means they can be any other card in a combination. But we can’t use them in special combinations. After three passes, the player with the last legal bid gets to collect all the cards we’ve played.

We keep playing until only one player has cards left. The player who gets rid of all their cards first makes the other player give them all their won cards. Once we’re done playing, we do the scoring. And then we can start a new hand.

Combinations

Solo Card – When you play just one card.

When it comes to playing card games, there are various combinations and sequences that you need to understand. It can get a bit confusing, but don’t worry, I’ll explain it all to you!

The first type of combination is called a pair. This means you have two cards of the same rank.

A triple is the next type of combination. It consists of three cards that have the same rank.

A quartet goes one step further. It involves four cards of the same rank.

Now, let’s talk about sequences. A sequence of pairs is when you have three or more cards in order, and at least two of them have the same rank.

Similarly, a sequence of triplets is when you have three or more cards in order, and each card is represented by three cards of the same rank.

If you want an even bigger challenge, you can try a sequence of quartets. This means you have three or more cards in order, and each card is represented by four cards of the same rank.

A full house is a combination of five cards that includes three cards of the same rank, along with two other cards. It can also be three cards of the same rank with a three and any other card, or three cards of the same rank with two cards that are in sequence.

Another type of combination is a suit sequence. This means you have five or more cards with the same suit, all in order.

Finally, we have special combinations. One example is four Twos, which means you have four two cards.

Let’s talk about different combinations in the card game called Five, Ten, King.

We have two types of combinations:

  1. Five, Ten, King Same Suit: A five, ten, and King of the same suit.
  2. Five, Ten, King Mixed Suit: A five, ten, and King of mixed suits.

Scoring

For all other combinations, there are no points.

END OF GAME

The game ends when a player’s score exceeds 500 points. The first player to achieve this or the player with the highest score wins the game!
