Welcome to YABLON
Hey there, I’m here to introduce you to Yablon, a super cool game that combines strategy and luck. Get ready to have a blast!
Let’s Get Started – SETUP
First things first, we need to choose a dealer and decide how many rounds we want to play. The dealer will be a volunteer and won’t be playing. After each round, the dealer role will be passed to the next player.
The dealer will shuffle the cards, and the player on their right will get the chance to cut the deck. Everyone, including the dealer, will receive one card except for the dealer during their own deal. The player to the left of the dealer will start the game.
Understanding Card Ranking
The order of the cards goes like this, from lowest to highest: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace.
HOW TO PLAY
The dealer will show the player on their left a card, facing up so that everyone can see it. Then, the player has a choice to make: play or pass. If they decide to play, they are saying that they think the third card they receive will be between the two cards they already have. If they decide to pass, they believe that the card they saw doesn’t fit between the two cards in their hand.
When a player passes, even if their answer is right, they don’t score any points. But if they choose to play and get it right, they earn one point. However, if they choose to play and the card doesn’t match either of their two cards, they lose one point.
Next, the dealer gives a third card to the player, keeps track of their points, and moves on to the next player in a clockwise direction. Once every player has taken their turn, the round ends. After playing a predetermined number of rounds, the game is over. The points are added up, and the winner is determined.
The End of the Game
After playing the set number of rounds, the game concludes. Each player adds up their scores from all the rounds. The player with the highest total score wins the game!
