Get Ready for the Witch’s Brew!

I’m so excited to tell you about this awesome game called the Witch’s Brew! In this game, you get to be a druid, wizard, or witch and show off your potion-brewing skills. The goal is simple – brew the best potions and become the ultimate potion master!

Let’s Get Started!

First things first, you need to set up the game. Choose a color that represents you and your awesome witchy skills. Then, grab twelve role cards of your chosen color, three starting ingredients, and two shiny gold nuggets. Keep those role cards in your hands, but put the rest of your stuff in front of you for everyone to see.

Alright, here’s what you need to do. Take all the ingredients, like gold nuggets and potion vials, and put them into separate piles in the middle of the playing area. Make sure to sort the cauldrons into copper, silver, and iron, arranging them by their value. And don’t forget to sort the potion shelves into two groups based on their symbols and their value too.

Now, take the spell books and shuffle them up. Put them in the center of the table, with the other sets. And there you have it, the game is ready to start!

Ready to Play?

This game is played in a series of sets. In each set, you’ll choose five role cards to use. Once everyone has played their roles, a new set begins. It’s as simple as that!

So, here’s how the game goes: I’ll start by picking a card and reading aloud the role on it. Then, it’s your turn! If you don’t have the same card as me, no worries, just pass. But if you do, you can take over the role and I’ll put the card down in my pile. Simple enough, right?

Now, here’s the fun part. Instead of giving up the role, I can choose to use the favor mentioned on the card. And guess what? You can do the same! Once everyone has taken their turns, the player who has the role card faceup in their area gets to keep that role. They’ll then do the action mentioned on the card and put it in their facedown stack. And just like that, they become the starting player for the next round.
