Wild Escape is an exciting partnership game that originated in China. It’s all about escaping and having a blast! The game is played by six players divided into two teams. The goal? To get rid of all your cards before the opposing team does. Remember, speed is key!

Setting Up the Game

Let’s start by preparing the game. Remove two jokers, one of each color, from each deck. This will help us tell them apart later on. We have the Big Joker and the Small Joker.

Now, each player will draw a card from the shuffled deck. The three players who draw the highest-scoring cards will be on one team, while the other three will form the opposing team. Make sure to sit in a way that you have an opponent on both sides. Get ready for the ultimate escape!

So, here’s how it goes: the player who got the highest scoring card takes on the role of the Offense Leader in the first round. Their neighbor on the right will shuffle the cards, and then the dealer deals everyone twenty-seven cards. And just like that, the game is ready to kick off.

How to Play

Alright, let me break it down for you. The Offense Leader gets things rolling. Their team’s objective is to raise their levels, while the Defensive team’s goal is to put a stop to the Offensive Team’s progress. Only the Offensive Team can actually boost their levels during a round, so they have to be strategic about it.

Both teams start with a Level or Ranking of two. The gameplay goes in a clockwise direction around the table. Each player can make any legal move during their turn. Oh, and just so you know, the Jokers are wild cards – they can be used to replace any other card and create combinations to represent a lower card.

When we play this game, we have to follow some rules. It’s important to know that after the first play, I need to try and play a combination of cards that is higher in rank. If someone plays a combination that is higher than mine, I have to pass and wait for my turn again. But if five players in a row pass, then the last player can start a new set of plays with any combination they want. It’s like getting a second chance!

During the game, I have to be honest if someone asks me how many cards I have left in my hand. I can’t lie because it’s part of the rules. Once I have played all the cards in my hand, I get to escape the game. And if all the players on my team escape the game, then the game is over.

Here are some legal plays in ascending order:

Single Card: You can play any single card.

Two Card Combo: You can play two cards of the same rank.

Another combination is the Flush. To create a Flush, you need five cards of the same suit. It doesn’t matter what the rank of the cards is – as long as they’re all the same suit, you’ve got a Flush. So keep an eye out for those matching suits!

Now, let’s talk about the Full House. This combination is a little more complex. It requires three cards of the same rank, like three Jacks, and two cards of the same rank, like two Kings. It’s a powerful combination that can give you a big advantage in the game.

Next, we have the Four of a Kind and Single. This combination is all about matching ranks. You’ll need four cards of the same rank, like four 9s, and one card of a different rank. It’s a unique combination that can catch your opponents off guard.

Finally, we have the ultimate combination: Five of a Kind. This is the holy grail of Combo. To achieve this combination, you need all five cards to have the same rank. It’s a rare combination, but if you manage to pull it off, victory will be yours!

Now let’s talk about the end of the game.

The game comes to an end when every player on a team has escaped the game. If everyone on the team escapes, and one of their players was the first to escape, then they win the game. But if everyone on the team escapes, and another player was the first to escape, then the game ends in a draw.
