Keep your role a secret, protect your village, or seize control of the village. The choice is yours!

Will you work to eliminate the villagers or protect your home at all costs? As the game unfolds, lies, deceit, and accusations will fly, making for an unforgettable and thrilling experience. Whether you’re playing with family, friends, or at a party, Werewolf is guaranteed to bring people together and create lasting memories.

Setting Up the Game

To get started, choose the following cards from the deck: one Moderator Card, one Seer Card, one Doctor Card, and two Werewolf Cards. Make sure the number of cards in the deck matches the number of players participating. The rest of the cards in the deck will represent the Villagers. This collection of cards will form the characters in the game.

Let’s play a game! First, we need to shuffle the cards and give each player a character card. Keep your card a secret!

I’ll be the Moderator and I’ll start the game by reading my card and announcing that it’s nighttime.

GAMEPLAY

Ready to begin? Close your eyes and start slapping your knees to create noise. This way, we’ll stay focused. I’ll then ask each player to open their eyes, one by one, according to their character role.

First things first, let me tell you how the game works. Ready?

So, I am the Moderator, and I’ll be guiding you through it. Are you excited? I know I am!

Firstly, it’s time for the Werewolves to wake up. If you’re a Werewolf, you can open your eyes now. Look around carefully and see if you can spot any other Werewolves. This is your chance to team up and strategize! Once you’ve figured it out, nod your head or point discreetly to confirm your choice.

Next, the Werewolves get to choose a target. This is a crucial moment, as the Werewolves will collectively decide who they want to eliminate. Once they’ve agreed on someone, they’ll let me know. Remember, it has to be done quietly, so no one else finds out. After that, the Werewolves go back to sleep, keeping their choice a secret.

Now, it’s time for the Doctor to make a move. Doctor, wake up! The Doctor’s role is essential, as they can save lives. The Doctor needs to choose someone to heal. It’s important to make a good choice here, as healing the wrong person won’t help. If the Doctor picks the same person that the Werewolves chose, that person will be safe. Once the Doctor has made their decision, they quietly let me know.

Finally, it’s time for me to announce if the Doctor managed to save someone. It’s always a relief to know that someone’s been spared. But remember, the game is far from over. We still have a long way to go!

So, now that you know how the game starts, are you ready to jump in and play? It’s going to be a thrilling adventure, I promise!

Once I’m ready, it’s time to awaken as the Seer. Quietly, I’ll point to a player of my choice. The Moderator will give me a thumbs up if that player is a Werewolf or a thumbs down if they’re a Villager. With this information, I can persuade the Village on who to vote to kill. Then, it’s time for me to go back to sleep.

The day begins as the Moderator announces that it’s daytime and everyone opens their eyes. The Moderator will reveal who has been saved or killed during the night. Any player who has been killed is silently removed from the game, without disclosing their character.

The first day is all about introductions. Each player will share a brief introduction about themselves and what they do. This is where the lying and deception comes into play. Remember, the Werewolves don’t want to be discovered!

So here’s the deal: we’re all playing this pretty sweet game called Werewolves. We’re a group of friends in a town, and we gotta figure out who the werewolves are among us. Now, we gotta be careful ’cause the wrong move can make us a target real quick. When we suspect someone is a werewolf, we gotta all talk it out. But watch your words ’cause you don’t wanna give too much away.

Here’s how it goes: when we accuse someone of being a werewolf, another person has gotta back us up. And then, the accused gets a chance to defend themselves, but they only get 30 seconds, so they gotta be quick. And then, we vote – majority rules. If most of us vote to kill the accused, they’re out of the game. And that’s when night falls.

Now, here’s a twist: if the doctor gets killed, the game ain’t over. The moderator’s gonna pretend the doctor’s still alive to keep things spicy. And when the night ends, the moderator spills the beans and tells us all the characters

This cycle continues until a winner has been determined. When the number of Werewolves matches or exceeds that of the Villagers, the Werewolves win and take control of the Village. When all the Werewolves are eliminated, the Villagers win and the Village remains safe.

GAME OVER

The game can end in two ways. If the Werewolves have an equal or greater number than the Villagers, the Werewolves are victorious. If all the Werewolves are eliminated, the Villagers win.
