Let’s Play THROW THROW BURRITO!

Hey there! Are you ready for some serious fun? Gather your family, friends, or even some new buddies, because this game is about to bring the house down! Get ready for laughter and excitement as we dive into the world of THROW THROW BURRITO!

In this action-packed game, your goal is simple: collect as many matching cards as you can before the round ends. But beware, things can get pretty intense, and battles may break out. And when a battle happens, brace yourself for a Burrito Bruise!

So, are you ready to experience the thrill of dodging flying burritos or throwing them like a champ? Test your reflexes and see if you can outsmart your opponents in this high-energy game!

LET’S GET STARTED

To start the game, first, mix up the cards and give each player fifteen cards face down. These cards will be your draw pile, which goes on the right side. Then, divide the remaining cards into two piles and put them in the center. These two piles are called the Community Piles.

Next, place the Burritos and Burrito Bruises in the center, where everyone can reach them. Each player should flip over the top five cards from their draw pile and keep them hidden, while leaving the rest of their cards alone. Now, we’re ready to play!

Here’s how the game works:

Imagine this: In each round, my main goal is to gather as many sets of three matching cards as possible. The catch? There’s no waiting for your turn – everyone plays at the same time! But here’s the deal: you can only have five cards in your hand at a time. So, make sure you discard some cards along the way to avoid going over the limit.

Here’s how it all goes down: I start by drawing a card from my very own Personal Draw Pile. Then, I get to choose which card I want to discard. I simply place it on top of the player sitting to my left, facing down. And guess what? The cards keep rotating around the table, so everyone gets a chance to discard their cards in turn.

But what if I run out of cards in my Personal Draw Pile? No worries! I can simply draw from the Community Pile until I have cards available in my Personal Draw Pile again. It’s all about keeping the game going, folks!

Hey there! Let me tell you about this super fun card game called “Match-a-Roo”. The objective is simple – try to get three cards that match as quickly as you can. Once you’ve gathered a set of matching cards, place them face up in front of you in a neat pile. This pile is known as your Score Pile, so keep it separate from the rest. After that, draw three more cards and keep the game going. Each set of matching cards you collect is worth one point, so keep an eye out for those!

Now, here’s where things get even more exciting. If you manage to collect three Burrito cards, like War, Brawl, or Duel, not only are they worth two points, they also trigger a battle! When this happens, make sure to place the cards in your Score Pile and shout out the battle’s name. It’s like unleashing a storm! Oh, and don’t forget, once a battle starts, the game pauses, and all other gameplay waits.

Brawl

Hey there! So here’s the deal: if you manage to play three cards of the same type in this game called Brawl, things get real interesting. The person sitting on your left and the one on your right instantly become your opponents. They have to react super quickly and snatch a Burrito, then toss it at each other. Whoever gets hit by the Burrito first loses the round. Epic, right?

War, what is it good for?

Now, let’s talk about War. Brace yourself, because things are about to get intense. If you play three War cards of the same kind, every single player at the table enters a full-blown war against each other. The mission? Grab a Burrito as quickly as humanly possible and fling it at any of your opponents. Remember: the first person unlucky enough to get smacked by a flying Burrito loses the entire War. May the fastest Burrito dodger prevail!

The art of the Duel

When you play three matching Duel cards, you get to make two players face-off in a duel. You and the chosen players each grab a Burrito and stand back-to-back. Then, together, we’ll count down – “3, 2, 1, Burrito!” With each number, we take a step away from each other. And when we shout “Burrito!”, we turn and try to hit the other player with our Burritos. The first one to get hit loses the duel.

Now, if you declare a battle that doesn’t match your played cards, you automatically lose the battle. And let’s say you’re not even involved in a battle, but you still grab a Burrito. Well, sadly, you’ll lose the battle then and there. Battles in this game only end when someone makes a mistake.

If you lose in a battle, you’ll get a Burrito Bruise card in your score pile. Each Burrito Bruise is worth one point deducted from your score. Only one Burrito Bruise is given out per battle. After a battle ends, the Burritos go back on the table and the player who started the battle says “3, 2, 1, Burrito!” to resume gameplay.

Rules for Battles

Multiple Battles: If more than one battle is declared at the same time, it’s a War and all players are involved. Everyone can be hit by a Burrito during a War. The first player hit by a Burrito gets a Burrito Bruise. Once a Burrito Bruise is given, the War is over.

Tie in Battle: If there is a tie, players compete in a Duel to break the tie. A tie happens when players get hit at the same time.

When I’m in the heat of battle, things can get intense. There are a few different outcomes that can happen when a Burrito is thrown. Let me break it down for you:

First, we have hitting. This is when a Burrito successfully connects with another player. It’s a moment of triumph, and it marks the end of the battle. The Burrito hits its target without hitting anything else along the way. It’s a direct hit, and it can really change the course of the game.

On the flip side, there’s missing. This happens when a Burrito doesn’t find its mark. Maybe it hits an object first, or maybe the other player manages to dodge it. Either way, if there’s a miss, it’s not the end of the world. In fact, any player involved in the battle can pick up that Burrito and give it another go. It’s all about second chances.

Then, we come to catching. This is a real game changer. If you throw a Burrito at another player and they catch it, you’re out. The battle is over, and they emerge victorious. It takes quick reflexes and a keen eye to pull off a catch, so hats off to anyone who manages to make it happen. On the other hand, if the Burrito touches any other object before being caught, it’s fair game. The player who threw the Burrito is declared the winner. It’s all about staying focused and avoiding any obstacles.

If you want to avoid getting hit by a flying Burrito during a battle, you have a few options. You can try to dodge the Burrito, duck behind something for cover, or even use an object as a shield to protect yourself. And remember, if you throw a Burrito at someone, they can use it as a shield to stop other Burritos. Just make sure you’re prepared before you throw – you can run, hide, or wait for the perfect moment.

There are a few rules you need to follow during a Burrito battle. First, you can only hold one Burrito at a time. So don’t try to grab multiple Burritos – it’s against the rules. Second, you can’t prevent someone else from picking up a Burrito. If they want it, they can have it. Third, when you throw a Burrito, it has to be aimed directly at another player. You can’t bounce it off the table or any other surface – that’s cheating. So stay fair and square.

Once the battle is over

After two rounds of gameplay, the game comes to a close. The first round ends when all the Burrito Bruises are handed out, and the player with the most points becomes the winner of that round. The victorious player gets awarded the Fear Me Badge, a mark of their triumph.

But the game isn’t over yet. After clearing the table, the second round begins. If the same player who won the Fear Me Badge in the first round still has it, they automatically become the winner of the whole game. However, if a different player triumphs in the second round, they must face off against the Fear Me Badge holder in a duel. The winner of the duel becomes the ultimate champion of the game.
