Welcome to Tablanette!
Tablanette is a fun card game that you can play with a friend. The objective of the game is to score 251 or more points before your opponent does.
In this game, you and your friend will take turns collecting cards from the middle of the table. You can collect cards by matching their values with the cards in your hand.
Let’s Get Started!
To start the game, choose a player to be the dealer. You can decide this by flipping a coin or playing a quick game of rock-paper-scissors. The dealer will shuffle the deck and give each player 6 cards. Then, the dealer will place four cards face-up in the center of the table. If there are any jacks, they will be placed at the bottom of the deck and replaced with new cards. The rest of the cards will be kept by the dealer for later.
When both players have played all 6 cards in their hands, the dealer will shuffle the deck and give each player 6 new cards. The game ends when there are no more cards left in the deck and all cards have been played.
Card Values
The cards in the game have different values. Cards numbered 2 to 10 have the same value as their number. Aces can be worth either 1 or 11, and it’s your choice when you play them. Kings are worth 13, Queens are worth 12, and Jacks are worth 0.
Gameplay
I’ll start the game if I’m not the dealer. On my turn, I’ll play a card from my hand. I can either play a card that matches the value of one or more cards on the table, or I can play a card to the layout.
If I want to play a card, I lay it from my hand onto the table, facing up, and then it’s someone else’s turn.
If I want to collect cards from the table, the card I play must match the value of a single card or the total value of more than one card. There are two ways to score all the cards on the table: either by playing a card that matches the total value of all the cards or by playing a jack. If I play a card that is not a jack and it scores all the cards on the table, it’s called a Tablanette.
If I collect cards, I add up the values of all the cards I collected, plus the card I played from my hand. These cards go into my score pile. If I also scored a Tablanette, I get extra points added to my overall score. For example, if I used a queen worth 12 points to score two 6s from the table, I would earn 24 points.
Hey there! Let’s talk about how this card game works. It’s called “Collect the Cards,” and here’s what you need to know.
The game is played by taking turns. Each player will play cards from their hand until all the cards are gone from their hand and the deck.
Now, here’s the exciting part. At the end of the game, the player who collected the last card from the layout gets to take all the remaining cards in the layout. Pretty cool, right?
Scoring
After the round ends, it’s time to tally up the points. Each player will earn points based on their performance in the game.
End of the Game
The game will continue until one player reaches a score of 251 points. That player will be crowned the winner of the game. Congrats!
Remember, the game ends when a player reaches 251 points. Once that happens, the game is over and the winner can claim their victory. Good luck!
