Palm island game rules – how to play palm island

By: Dennis B. B. Taylor

Welcome to Palm Island!

I’m excited to tell you about this amazing game that you can take with you wherever you go. Palm Island lets you build your own island and conquer any challenges that come your way. Whether you’re playing alone, with friends, or against others, this game is all about creating your own unique experience.

Let’s Get Set Up!

Before we begin, let’s talk about how to get started. First, choose the deck of cards you want to use for the game. If you’re playing solo, you only need one deck. If you’re playing with others, everyone will need their own deck. The deck has cards that can be oriented in four different ways, with the top of the card showing its current orientation.

When setting up the game, make sure the white sun marking is in the top left corner of all the cards. Put the round tracker aside for now. Each player should shuffle their deck and keep the cards facing the right way. The last card in the deck is the round tracker and should go at the end after shuffling.

Before the game starts, take a moment to familiarize yourself with your deck. During the game, you can only see your top three cards. Once you’re ready, let’s begin!

LET’S PLAY!

When it’s my turn, I have two options. I can either choose one of the top two cards from my deck and take an action, or I can discard the top card from my deck. If I decide to take an action, I can either store, rotate, or flip.

With the store action, I can rotate my card 90 degrees and then place it on the bottom of my deck. This lets me see the card’s resources. If I choose to rotate, I can turn the card 180 degrees before putting it on the bottom of my deck. This gives it a new orientation. And if I decide to flip, I can completely turn the card around, with the back becoming the front, before placing it at the bottom. This helps me get a better orientation for the card.

In order to complete any of the actions mentioned above, you need to pay with resources. But here’s the catch – you can only store a maximum of four resource cards at a time, and each card can hold any number of resources. After you finish your action, it’s the next player’s turn to take their shot.

When the top card of your deck becomes the round tracker, that’s when the round ends. You’ll just turn the card around, so it shows a higher number, and put it back on the bottom of your deck. Once everyone is ready, the next round begins. This keeps going until you’ve completed a total of eight rounds.

END OF GAME

After eight rounds of fun and excitement, the game finally comes to an end. Now it’s time to tally up your points and see who’s the big winner. The player with the highest score reigns supreme and claims victory!
