The Exciting Game of Pái Hồng
Pái Hồng is an awesome card game that you can play with 3 to 6 players. The goal of the game is to complete as many rooms as possible by the end of the game.
A room is considered complete when you collect a set of four cards with the same rank.
Getting Ready to Play
To start the game, we need to choose a dealer. It can be anyone, we’ll just pick someone randomly. The dealer will shuffle the deck and give each player an equal number of cards.
How to Play
The player on the left of the dealer starts the game. It’s your turn, and here’s what you can do. You can ask another player if they have a specific card you’re looking for. But here’s the catch, you have to tell them the rank and number of the card you want. For example, you could ask someone if they have the 5 of diamonds. But remember, you can only ask for a specific rank if you already have a card with the same rank in your hand.
When you ask another player for a specific card and they have it, they have to give it to you. You can then ask for another card from the same player or a different one.
If the player you asked doesn’t have the card you requested, it’s their turn to play.
When you have four cards of the same rank, you can choose to keep them in your hand or set them aside. Other players can’t take cards from your set of four cards since no one else will have the same rank. A set of four cards is called a “room”.
The game ends when all the rooms have been collected. At the end of the game, players can score their completed rooms.
SCORING
When all 13 rooms have been collected, the game ends. Each player counts the rooms they have completed.
END OF GAME
The game relies on collecting and counting rooms, and it’s complete when all rooms have been gathered. The player who acquires the most rooms emerges as the victor.
