We all grab, pop, and snatch cards at the same time, creating a flurry of activity. But beware, as you collect your feathery Ostriches, your opponents may strike back, causing you to lose face. The Ostriches will bury their heads in the sand, forcing you to start all over again!

Getting Started

Getting the game ready is a breeze. Simply shuffle all the cards and place them face down in the middle of the group. Then, spread the cards out to create a loose pile that everyone can reach. And just like that, you’re all set!

How to Play

When we start the game, we’ll all fold one of our arms at the elbow and wrist to create our special Ostrich Arms. This is the only hand we’ll be using during the game. So, when we shout “1, 2, 3, Go!”, that’s when we kick off the fun!

In order to win cards, we have to slide them to the edge of the table, making sure about half of the card is hanging off. Then, we’ll use our Ostrich Hand to quickly flip the card into the air by popping the bottom, and we have to catch it before it hits the ground. If we miss, we’ll have to pop it up again and try to catch it this time.

Once I have Ostriches in my Sanctuary, right in front of me, that doesn’t mean I’m safe. I might draw razor cards and put them on my opponents’ Ostriches, making them have to collect those Ostriches all over again. If I draw the same Ostrich twice, it’s no big deal. I just place it face up on the pile, so another player can try to get it.

We all keep playing at the same time until someone collects all six Ostriches. That’s how we know the game is over.

END OF GAME

The game ends when someone collects all six Ostrich cards in their Ostrich Sanctuary. When someone manages that, they shout “Heads up!” and the game is done. They’re the winner, and then we can start a new game.
