On a Scale of One to T-Rex: The Game for Those Who Suck at Charades

Overview of On a Scale of One to T-Rex

Hey there! So, this game is perfect if you’re not a pro at charades. It’s family-friendly too, which is pretty cool. Basically, you’ll be doing silly actions based on your Number Cards. These cards tell you how intense your actions will be, from one to ten!

Your goal is to find another player who’s on the same level as you. If you both succeed, you’ll earn Good Tokens. But if your attempts are a total fail, you’ll get Bad Tokens and lose some points. The player with the most points at the end wins the game!

Setup

Let’s get started by organizing the Action Cards. Separate them into three piles based on their colors. Take the top card from each pile and place them in the Playing Area. Now, it’s time to distribute the Number Cards. Shuffle them and deal one card to each player, face down. Leave the remaining cards face down to create the Draw Pile.

Now, let’s set up the tokens. Place them in two separate piles in the center of the table – one pile for good tokens and one pile for bad tokens. The number of tokens you’ll use depends on the number of players in the game.

For 2 players: 15 Good Tokens and 0 Bad Tokens.

For 3 players: 16 Good Tokens and 8 Bad Tokens.

For 4 players: 20 Good Tokens and 10 Bad Tokens.

For 5 players: 24 Good Tokens and 12 Bad Tokens.

For 6 players: 28 Good Tokens and 14 Bad Tokens.

For 7 players: 32 Good Tokens and 16 Bad Tokens.

For 8 players: 36 Good Tokens and 18 Bad Tokens.

So, here’s the deal: there might be some leftover tokens, and if that’s the case, just put them back in the box. Easy as pie. Now, let’s get this show on the road.

READY, SET, GO!

Check out those Action Cards in the Play Area. They’re faceup and have some crazy actions on them. Get ready to do something completely outlandish. To figure out what you need to do, take a look at your number card and note its color.

Your number card determines the level at which you’ll perform the action. This is important because everyone plays at the same time. No waiting around for your turn – it’s all happening right here, right now!

In order for you to earn points, you have to try and find another player whose Number Card matches yours. If you think you’ve found a match, hand them your card face-down. The other player will do the same if they agree. Then, both of you will flip your cards at the same time and earn points if they match.

If it’s an exact match, where the numbers are exactly the same, both of you will earn two Good Tokens. If it’s a close match, with the numbers being only one apart, both of you will earn one Good Token. If it’s not a match at all, both of you will get one Bad Token. After that, you will both get rid of your Number Cards and draw new ones.

If you get a card and you don’t think it’s a match, you can just ignore it and keep playing. The game keeps going until one stack of tokens runs out. Then, you add up your points!

GAME OVER

The game ends when one stack of tokens is all gone. Each player counts up their points in their own score pile. The player with the most points wins!
