Welcome to Nobble!

Nobble is an exciting card game that you can play with 2 or more friends. The goal of the game is simple: be the last player remaining while all of your opponents are eliminated.

Getting Started

Before we begin, each player will receive 5 chips to use during the game. Once you run out of chips, you’ll be eliminated, so use them wisely!

Now, let’s decide on the first dealer. We’ll choose randomly, and the dealer will pass to the left for each new round. The dealer will start by dealing the cards, face down, to each player in a clockwise pattern. Make sure each player has 5 cards.

Understanding Card Rankings

In Nobble, we follow the traditional ranking of cards: Ace (highest), followed by King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 (lowest).

Let the Game Begin!

When it’s my turn, I can choose any card from my hand and play it. The next player, who is sitting to the right of the dealer, must play a card with the same rank if they have it. But if they don’t, they can play any card they want from their own hand.

If someone plays a card that matches mine, I’ll be “nobbled” and I have to give one chip to the middle of the table. If my card gets matched again, the second player will be double nobbled and will have to give two chips. And if all four cards are played and matched, the third player will be triple nobbled and has to give three chips.

If I don’t have enough chips to pay the full penalty, I can only give what I have to the center. Unfortunately, if I can’t pay anything at all, I’ll be out of the game.

Once everyone has played all their cards, the dealer will give us new cards and we keep playing the game. Simple, right?

The game is over when there’s only one player left. That’s when it’s time to celebrate!
