Getting Started:

Let’s put the Workbench together. You can do this by connecting the four puzzle pieces. Once you’ve connected them, place the board in the center of the table with the nine gray spaces facing up. The three yellow Goal spaces should be positioned on the left side of the board.

Now, it’s time to prepare the Toy Part cards. Shuffle them and then lay nine of them face up on the gray spaces. Take care to ensure that all of the Toy Parts are oriented correctly, with the spider web in the upper right corner. Each player receives two Toy Part cards, and the remaining cards are placed face down to create a draw pile. Don’t forget to leave room for a discard pile as well.

Next, it’s time to deal with the Goal cards. Shuffle them and then deal three cards to the Workbench. Place one Goal card on each yellow Goal space. The remaining Goal cards are placed face down in a pile near the board.

Let’s Play!

Alright, who’s ready to have some fun? The game starts with the person who can make the scariest face. Once we’re all set, we’ll begin constructing toys and collecting goal cards. There are three steps to each turn: swapping toy parts, completing goals, and refilling the workbench.

Step 1: Swap Toy Parts

On your turn, you get to swap two toy parts. There are a few ways to do this. You can swap one toy on the workbench with another one on the workbench. Another option is to swap a toy part on the workbench with one from your hand. And if you don’t like any of the toy parts on the workbench, you can discard one and replace it with the top card from the toy part pile.

Step 2: Complete Goals

When you put together a toy and it matches a Goal Card, you get to take the toy off the Workbench. You also get to keep the Goal Card and put it next to you on the table. And here’s the cool part: you can complete more than one goal in your turn! But remember, each toy can only be used for one goal.

When I finish a goal and see that circular arrow symbol, I can swap two more cards on my Workbench. But I can’t fill any empty spaces. If I complete another toy after that, I might even get another Goal card!

Time to Refill the Workbench

I need to refill any empty spaces on my Workbench or in the Goal spaces with cards from their respective piles. I should fill my Toy Part spaces from left to right and top to bottom. If I run out of Toy Part cards, I just shuffle the discard pile and start a new draw pile.

After I finish my turn and refill my Workbench, it’s someone else’s turn to play. We keep playing until all the goals are collected.
