LEGENDARY FORESTS

Hey there! So, in this game, we all get the same cards. We’re supposed to place them at the same time, but where we put them is totally up to us. Here’s the deal: the player who can strategize the best and choose the perfect spots for their tiles is going to rack up the most points. And you know what that means? Yep, they’ll win the game! So, who’s going to create the most legendary forest of all? Let’s find out!

SETUP

Alright, to start things off, each of us will pick a color to represent ourselves in the game. Once we’ve settled on a color, we’ll grab 25 world tiles of that color. We’ll then find the first tile in our deck and put it right in front of us – that’ll be our starting point. Ready to get going? Let’s do this!

When you play this game, one person becomes the Architect. That person is chosen randomly, and they’ll be the first player. The Architect starts by shuffling their deck of cards and taking out five of them. These cards go in the box and won’t be used in the game. The rest of the cards become the draw pile.

The other players can arrange their cards however they want and place them face up beside them.

Each player should put two tree tokens in the middle of the table. These tokens make up the reserve. Any extra tokens can be put away because they won’t be needed anymore. Now, the game is ready to start.

HOW TO PLAY

When playing the game, we go through 19 rounds, and each round has four phases that we need to complete. We have to do these phases in the right order. The first phase is when the Architect chooses a world tile. They show the top card from their pile to everyone and say what number it is.

After that, all the other players pick a tile with the same number as the one the Architect chose. This is the second phase. Then, in the third phase, we all put our tiles in front of us. But there are some rules we have to follow when placing our tiles:

  • One side of our tile has to touch a tile that is already there.
  • The sides that touch have to be the same color.
  • We can turn our tile around if we need to.
  • Once we put our tile down, we can’t move it.

After placing all the tiles, we move on to the next phase where we put three tokens on the board. This phase only happens when the tile drawn by the Architect has a number on a light background.

Starting with the player who has the construction token and going around clockwise, each player will take a tree token from the middle and place it on a zone of their planet. Remember, the tree must have the same color as the zone, it can’t be placed on grass, it can be placed with other trees, and once it’s placed, it can’t be moved.

Once all the tree tokens have been placed, the construction token is passed to the player on the left of the current holder, and a new turn begins. This cycle of gameplay continues for a total of 19 rounds.

END OF GAME

Hey there, it’s me, Ellie! I’m a resident of Northeast Tennessee, and I wanted to talk to you about this amazing game I just discovered. It’s called “The Runes Game,” and I think you’ll love it as much as I do.

When you play “The Runes Game,” the goal is to score as many victory points as possible. Once every player has placed their 19th tile, the game comes to an end. That’s when the fun part begins – tallying up your victory points to see if you’ve won!

In the game, there are these cool tree tokens that are worth different victory points. The number of points each token is worth depends on which zone it’s located in. If it’s in the Closed Zone, it’s worth twice the number of full runes found there. But if it’s in the Open Zone, it’s only worth the number of full runes in that zone.

At the end, the player with the most points wins the game! Isn’t that exciting?

Speaking of exciting, let me tell you a bit about myself. As I mentioned earlier, I’m Ellie, and I’m a big fan of all kinds of animals. From cute little critters to magnificent creatures, I love them all. I’m also a huge fan of fantasy fiction novels. There’s something magical about escaping into a world of make-believe and going on incredible adventures.

When I’m not reading or playing “The Runes Game,” you can find me outdoors, enjoying nature’s wonders. Whether it’s hiking, biking, or simply taking a leisurely walk, I find solace in the great outdoors. Nature has a way of rejuvenating my spirit and bringing me peace.

Oh, and did I mention I have an amazing husband and two adorable fur babies? They bring so much joy and love into my life. My husband is incredibly supportive and caring, and my fur babies are always there to brighten up my day with their wagging tails and purrs.

Being a part of this awesome community is such a delight. I love connecting with like-minded people, sharing experiences, and spreading positivity. It’s incredible how we can come together and create a sense of belonging and support.

So, if you’re looking for a fun game that will keep you entertained and excited, “The Runes Game” is the perfect choice. With its strategic gameplay and the thrill of competing for victory points, it will surely captivate you.

And remember, when it’s time to end the game, don’t forget to count your victory points and see if you’re the ultimate champion!
