LAME BRAIN PETE

Hey there! Let me introduce you to Lame Brain Pete, a cool poker card game designed for 3 to 10 players. The main goal of the game is to strategically make and win bids. Exciting, right?

Now, before we dive into the game, it’s important for you to have a basic understanding of how to play poker and know your way around poker hands. Don’t worry, I’ll guide you through it.

SETUP: Let’s Get Started

First things first, you’ll need a dealer. This person can choose to play or not, depending on the table and the game environment. Up to you!

The dealer will shuffle the deck and deal each player a hand of 3 cards. But hold your horses! Before any table cards are dealt, we have a round of bidding. Exciting, right? Once that’s done, 4 cards are dealt to the center of the table, face down.

Card and Hand Rankings

In this game, we stick to traditional card rankings. That means Ace is the highest, followed by King, Queen, Jack, and so on. You get the idea!

And don’t forget, we also use the classic hand rankings. These help determine the strength of your hand and give you an edge in the game. No worries, I’ll explain them to you as we go along.

GAMEPLAY: Let the Fun Begin

The game starts when the dealer reveals the first face-down table card. Once the card is shown, we have a round of bidding.

One card is revealed at a time, with a separate bidding round for each card.

The lowest-ranked revealed card is considered a wild card, as well as all cards of the same rank. Once the final bidding round is over, it’s time for the showdown.

SHOWDOWN

When the final round of bidding ends and more than one player is still in the game, a showdown occurs. All remaining players show their 3-card hands and combine them with the central cards to make the highest possible poker hand.

The player with the highest hand among the players wins the pot.

END OF GAME

Unlike other games, there isn’t a set end for this game. Players can join or leave the game between rounds of play.
