How to Play

The rules are simple. Each round, one person takes the Hot Seat and gets asked a question. And not just any question – we’re talking about the juicy stuff! These questions can be funny, serious, or even a bit cheeky. Just imagine the fun surprises that await you!

To start the game, we all get an answer pad and a pencil. The person with the most recent birthday grabs three cards from the deck and reads them quietly. That’s when they become the “Hot Seat” player. The Hot Seat player gets to be the scorekeeper, and this role passes around to each player. Now, the person in the Hot Seat picks one card to play, one to give to someone else, and one to get rid of. If someone gets a card, they have to keep it hidden until it’s their turn in the Hot Seat, and then they have to play that card instead of drawing three new ones.

Let’s play a fun game called “Hot Seat.” Here’s how it works: we all write down our guesses for the answer that we think the player in the Hot Seat will have. Once everyone has written their responses, the player in the Hot Seat collects all the answers and reads them out loud to everyone. Then, we each take turns guessing whether the answer came from the player in the Hot Seat or from someone else. We go around the group clockwise. Finally, the player in the Hot Seat reveals their actual answer, and we tally up the points.

In the Hot Seat game, points are given based on each player’s role. When I’m in the Hot Seat, I earn one point for each person who guesses my answer correctly. The other players earn one point for each person who guesses their answer, two points if they guess my answer, and four points if they give the same answer as me. The Hot Seat position gets passed to the next player on the left after each round.

Game Over

The game ends when a player reaches twenty-five points first.

House Rules

One and Done:

When it’s my turn in the Hot Seat, I can only draw one card, and I have no choice but to play it.

Blind Three:

When it’s my turn to be in the Hot Seat, I get to draw three questions. I pick one from the bunch, and that’s the question I’ll answer.

In the original version of the game, the player in the Hot Seat had to come up with their own question. But in this version, we have question cards to make things easier.

Once I’ve answered the question, everyone takes a guess and we find out who got it right. Then it’s my turn to choose the answer that I think is the closest to my own. The person who gave that answer gets two extra points.

So basically, I have to guess what other people would say, and they have to guess what I would say. It’s a fun and challenging game that keeps us all on our toes!
