Welcome to Friends and Enemies! It’s a super easy party game that’s perfect for breaking the ice. The rules are simple: depending on the card you draw, you either take a drink or pass it on. But remember, drink responsibly and know your limits!

Getting Set Up

Before we begin, let’s make sure everyone has their deck of 52 cards. Shuffle them up and deal them out equally among all the players. If there are any leftover cards, just set them aside for now.

How to Play

When I start the game, I place a card face up in the middle of the table. Then, I pick someone to take a drink. The number of drinks they have to take is the same as the value of the card.

DEFLECTING

If the person I chose has a card that matches the one I played, they can play their card and make someone else drink instead. For example, if I played a 5 and the chosen player also has a 5, they can play it and make someone else drink five times.

ASKING FOR HELP

If the chosen player doesn’t have a matching card, they can ask for help. If another player has a matching card, they can play it and choose someone else to take the drink. But if no one offers help, the person I chose has to drink.

The person who had to drink now plays the next card.

We keep playing until all the cards are gone.
