Welcome to Fool’s Paradise!

Hey there! Fool’s Paradise is a super fun game that you can play with as many friends as you want. You just need enough decks to go around. The goal of the game is to collect cards and score as many points as you can. Each card is worth a different amount of points, so keep your eyes peeled and grab the good ones! If you’re playing with more people, the game will take a bit longer, so it’s best to have four to five players.

Let’s Get Set Up!

First things first, we need someone to be the dealer. Once that’s sorted, the dealer will give each player one card, face-down. Then, they’ll deal one card to the center, face-up. They’ll keep doing this four more times, so that every player has five cards in their hand. Oh, and all the cards in the center should be facing up too. Cool, right? Now, take the rest of the deck and put it in the middle to create the draw pile.

Scoring

Number Cards: You get points equal to the face value of the card

Ace: You can choose if it’s worth one or fourteen points

Jack: It’s worth eleven points

Queen: It’s worth twelve points

King: It’s worth thirteen points

GAMEPLAY

It’s your turn to start the game if you are sitting on the left of the dealer. You can collect cards and draw new ones as long as you play by the rules. When you draw a card, your turn ends, and it’s the next player’s turn to play.

In the game, the main objective is to collect cards. But there are rules to follow when doing this. To collect a card, I need to pick one from my hand. Then, I have to find one or more cards that, when added together, equal a multiple of the card I chose. The value of the cards I collect shouldn’t be higher than the value of the card I picked.

If I don’t want to collect any cards at the moment, I can pass. I might choose to save the cards for later rounds. This way, I have a chance to clear the board. But be careful, because someone else can steal them from me. That’s why they call it Fool’s Paradise.

So, here’s the deal. When you play this game, there’s a moment when you clear the board. How does that happen? Well, it’s simple. When you’re the lucky player who collects the last card from the middle, you’ve officially cleared the board. Nice job! But wait, there’s more. After clearing the board, you get to draw a card from the pile, and then the dealer deals five new cards to the center. Exciting, right? Now, here’s the best part. By clearing the board, you earn yourself one point. Score!

The End Game

Okay, so how does this game end? Well, it ends when no one has any cards left in their hands. Yeah, that’s right, empty hands. And don’t worry, the player who still has a card left is the winner. It’s their lucky day! They get to take all the cards from the center as their reward. But wait, there’s more (again!). Once everyone collects their cards, we tally up the points. And guess what? The player with the most points wins the game! Can you believe it? It’s that simple. So, let the games begin!
