FLOWER GARDEN
Hey there! Have you ever played Flower Garden? It’s a fun game where you get to build your very own garden. Let me explain how it works!
THE CARDS & THE LAYOUT
In Flower Garden, you’ll be using a regular deck of playing cards. That’s right, the same cards you use for other games! To start, we deal out the garden. The garden is made up of six columns, and each column has six cards overlapping. This creates a beautiful display of cards. We also have a bouquet, which is a row of sixteen cards placed face up. These cards are separate from the garden.
THE PLAY
Let’s start with the basics. The first step is to uncover the Aces, which are the foundations of the game. These foundation cards need to be placed in a row or column along the outside edge of the game layout. It’s important to remember that each foundation must be built up in ascending order, starting with the Ace and going all the way up to the King, based on their suit.
Now, let’s talk about the garden columns. These columns are built in descending order, and the specific suit doesn’t matter. For example, you can place a 6 of hearts on top of a 7 of spades. You have the freedom to move the top cards from any pile, and you can only move one card at a time. If there is an empty space in the tableau, you can fill it with any top card that’s available.
Next, we have the bouquet. The cards in the bouquet are always accessible, regardless of where they are located in the bouquet. You can play these cards either on the garden or on the foundations. It’s good to keep in mind that they can be quite helpful in your game strategy.
Now, let’s talk about winning!
Your ultimate goal is to successfully move all of the cards to their appropriate foundation piles. Once you achieve that, you’ll be the winner of the game. It may take some time and effort, but with a little perseverance and strategy, you can conquer the game!
