Welcome to Chimera Station!
When you play Chimera Station, you get to place your workers on the board, but that’s not all – you can also customize them! That’s right, you can give your workers claws, tentacles, and even improve their brains! These modified workers will help you collect resources and score more points. And the fun doesn’t stop there – you get to build your own space station with endless possibilities!
Getting Started
Let’s set up the game. First, place the board in the middle of the playing area. Then, put the countdown tokens over the B area of the command hub. Make sure to place the round markers on the board as well. Next, take the rest of the tiles and put them beside the board, creating supplies of each tile type. To add some excitement, shuffle the perk cards and place them face up beside the board. Everything is ready for an amazing game of Chimera Station!
Hey there! So, here’s how this game starts off. One lucky player is randomly chosen to be the first player. They get to be in charge of the starting player markers. Oh, and by the way, each player also gets their own score marker. These markers go on the ten space of the score track.
Now, onto setting up the game for everyone. Each player gets their own player mat. For the first game, we’ll be using side A of the mat. And each player also gets 6 workers, all in the same color that they choose. Pretty cool, right? But that’s not all, they also get a research marker and a starting resource card.
Alright, here’s how the starting resource card distribution works. The first player gets six resource cards. They get to choose one from the group, and then pass the rest to the player on their left. And this keeps going until everyone has a starting resource card.
Once everyone has their starting resource card, it’s time to collect the resources that are shown on the card. And don’t forget to move your research marker to the first tier of the research track. Everything’s all set and ready to go now!
GAMEPLAY
Imagine playing a game with your friends. It’s called “The Five Round Adventure.” Each round has three phases: placement, splicing, and feeding. Let me explain how it works!
In the placement phase, we take turns putting our workers in different places on the board. We can choose to put them in a module, the splicing lab, or the worker lounge. Each place has a different effect and gives us special benefits.
Now, let’s move on to the splicing phase. This is where things get really interesting. If you have any workers in the splicing lab, you get to do some cool activities. But there’s a catch! Before you can do anything else, you have to deal with any new workers that were created in the lab.
Finally, we have the feeding phase. In this phase, we make sure all of our workers have enough food to survive. It’s important to take care of them so they can keep helping us in the game.
And that’s how “The Five Round Adventure” works! It’s a fun and strategic game that will keep you entertained for hours. So gather your friends, and let the adventure begin!
So, here’s what happens when it’s time to feed our hardworking workers. They get taken off the board and put into a special pool. But guess what? Feeding them isn’t free! For each worker in our pool, we gotta pay up with some food. If we don’t have enough food, we’re in trouble. We’ll have to give up some of our workers for each food we’re short on. And if we don’t have any extensions on our workers, that’s gonna cost us even more – two points for each missing food.
Now, let’s talk about the rounds. At the start of each round, we’ll take off the round marker that matches the tracker. Pay attention here because things can change depending on the round. The game goes on like this for five rounds, and that’s when it comes to an end.
END OF GAME
The game ends when the final round is over. We add up the points from all the resources and the player with the most points wins!
