They will shuffle the cards and give each player eight cards. The rest of the cards are placed face down in the center of the table. Next, we turn over the top card to start the discard pile. But here’s a twist – if the first card is an action card, we won’t actually do the action. We just look at the number on the card.

The Exciting Game

Guess what? You get to go first if you have the Guard Bug card! In this awesome game called Cheating Moth, we want to get rid of all the cards in our hand. How do we do that? By playing cards to the discard pile. But there’s a catch – you can only play a card if it’s one number higher or lower than the top card in the discard pile. The Guard Bug

If the person they accused was really cheating, they have to put the card back in their hand and the Guard Bug player gives them a new card. But there’s more! The caught cheater also gets the Guard Bug card and becomes the new “catcher”. They have to play by the rules and catch other cheaters.

In the game of Cheating Moth, there’s a special role called the Guard Bug. If someone wrongly accuses another player of cheating, the Guard Bug has to take a card from the draw pile. And guess what? They stay the Guard Bug for the next turn too!
