Calculation game rules – how to play calculation

CALCULATION

Calculation is a card game that requires a lot of thinking and strategizing. People often say that you can only win two out of three games, but without a proper strategy, you might not win any. This game really makes you use your brain!

SETUP

To set up the game, you need an ace, two, three, and four from the deck. It doesn’t matter what suit they are. Line them up to create four empty foundations. There will be four waste piles below the foundations, but they will be empty at the start. The rest of the cards are shuffled and placed facedown to make the stock pile. Turn over the top card, and you’re ready to start!

GAMEPLAY

When I play Solitaire, I can choose to place a revealed card onto the foundations. If the card cannot go onto the foundations, I have the option to put it in the waste pile. I can also play the top card from the waste pile onto the foundations, but nowhere else.

Building the foundations is an interesting part of the game. The first foundation starts with an ace and goes up in sequence to a king. The second foundation starts with a two, then goes in this order: two, four, six, eight, ten, Queen, ace, three, five, seven, nine, Jack, and King. The third foundation is built up by threes, and the last foundation is built up by fours. It doesn’t matter what suit or color the cards have; it’s all about the rank.

So, when I’m playing Solitaire, the game ends either when I’ve played all the cards onto the foundations or when I can’t make any more moves. If I manage to play all the cards onto the foundations, I win!
