Welcome to Bloom Town!
Spring has arrived, and it’s time to bring life back to our neighborhood! I’m here to guide you on this exciting journey. As an architect, your task is to construct buildings and attractions that will make our town flourish. The ultimate goal? To become the mayor of Bloom Town and showcase your creativity!
Getting Started
Before we dive in, let’s set up the game. Depending on the number of players, we need to remove a specific number of Building tiles. For two players, remove six tiles of each Building type. For three players, remove two of each. Just make sure not to remove the same shop twice, alright? Each player will receive a town board, a bonus token, and two random Building tiles, which should be kept face down.
Hey there! Let’s dive into the exciting world of Community tiles in the game of Building Challenge. These special tiles are mixed in with the rest of the tiles, so you never know when they’ll pop up!
First things first, we set up the playing area. The Town Square takes its place at the heart of the board, with the Bloom Points nearby. Then, depending on how many players there are, we create stacks of tiles on the numbered blue squares. For example, with two players, we make five stacks of eight tiles each. With three players, it’s five stacks of eleven tiles, and for four players, it’s five stacks of thirteen tiles.
Now, here comes the fun part. We reveal the top card of each stack and place it in the Market. It’s like a little sneak peek into what’s to come! Oh, and don’t forget, we also choose a starting player randomly. That lucky player gets to grab the starting player token. And just like that, we’re ready to rock and roll!
Ready to Play?
Hey there! So, here’s how the game works. The player who has the starter player marker goes first, and then we take turns going clockwise until the game ends. During your turn, you need to build, score Bloom Points, and get a new building tile.
Now, when you’re building, you have to put a Building tile in any empty space in the town. Once you’ve placed the tile, it’s time to score your build. You get points based on the number of Bloom Points you earned. But here’s the catch – only the last tile you placed will be scored. After scoring, you can take a Building tile from the market space that matches the flower you just covered up with your build.
When you draw a Community tile from the market, you should place it in the Community area and fill the empty space in the market. If you place a tile on a blooming square in your town, you can activate a bonus action. You have the choice to score double or take another turn immediately after your first. However, you are not allowed to take bonus actions during the turn that you earned with a bonus action.
The game continues like this until it reaches its end.
END OF GAME
The game ends when a certain number of stacks are emptied. You will continue the current round, but once it’s over, scoring will occur. In a two-player game, the game ends when three stacks are emptied. In a three or four-player game, the game ends when two stacks are emptied.
Hey there! I want to share something super cool with you. So, when you’re playing this game, you get to choose between two building tiles. It’s like having two options! You pick one to score, and the other one you toss aside. Then, all the cards are scored, and we add up the points. And guess what? The player with the most Bloom Points wins the game! Pretty neat, right?
By the way, my name is Ellie! Nice to meet you! I live in Northeast Tennessee and let me tell you, it’s a great place. I’m a big fan of all animals, from tiny ones to huge ones. Oh, and I love fantasy fiction books! They take me to amazing places in my imagination. Whenever I get the chance, I like to be outdoors, surrounded by nature. And I’m lucky to have an awesome husband who loves me almost as much as our two furry pets do. Being a part of this community is really amazing. We have so much fun and support each other. It’s like having a big family!
Anyways, thanks for listening. I hope you’re as excited as I am. Let’s go have some fun and play this awesome game together! You ready?
