Bendomino game rules- how to play bendomino

Welcome to Bendomino!

Hey there! I’m excited to introduce you to Bendomino, the super cool tile placement game brought to you by Blue Orange. It’s like those classic domino games you know, but with a twist… or should I say, a slight curve? That’s right! Each Bendomino tile has a gentle curve that adds a whole new layer of complexity to the game. As you continue playing, the chain of tiles grows into a mind-boggling puzzle that will keep you on your toes. But don’t worry, I’m here to guide you through it all!

Let’s dig into the goodies!

When you crack open the Bendomino box, you’ll find 28 Bendomino tiles waiting for you. Each tile is divided into two halves, and each half has a bunch of pips. Now, you might be wondering what on earth a pip is. Well, think of it as a dot that represents a number on the tile. Pretty simple, right? The Bendominos range from 0/0 all the way to 6/6, so you’ll have plenty of options to play around with.

THE PLAY

SETUP

Let’s get started! Place all 28 of the Bendominos facedown in the middle of the table and mix them up really well. The number of Bendominos you draw will depend on how many people are playing the game. In a game with two players, each person takes 7 tiles. For three players, it’s 6 tiles each, and for four players, it’s 5 tiles each. Make sure to keep the Bendominos you draw a secret from your opponents.

The remaining Bendominos are set aside to create the stockpile.

LET’S PLAY!

Are you ready to start playing Bendomino? Great! Here’s how we get the game going:

First, the player who has the highest Bendomino double begins the game. They place that tile face up in the center of the table. If nobody has a double, the player with the highest valued Bendomino goes first. And just like that, the Bendomino chain begins.

Now it’s your turn. Take a Bendomino tile and try to place it on the chain. You can connect it to either end as long as it matches. For example, if the first tile is a 6/6, the next player must connect a Bendomino that has a six on one of its halves. Simple, right?

But here’s the catch. If you can’t add a Bendomino to the chain, you’ll have to draw one tile from the stock. Don’t worry, though. If the tile you draw can be added to the chain, go ahead and place it. But remember, you’re never obligated to play a tile if you don’t want to.

A GAME AT A STANDSTILL

We keep playing the game, going clockwise around the table as I previously explained, until we reach a point where we can’t make any more moves. This is what we call a blocked game. It happens when none of us can add a tile to the chain. The game can become blocked if we can’t match any numbers, if there are no pieces that can fit, if one end of the chain is a dead end, or if both ends of the chain have connected.

Once the game is blocked, we take turns drawing one Bendomino from the stockpile until there are no more left. Then we count up our scores.

ENDING THE ROUND

The round comes to an end when one of us runs out of Bendominos or when the game becomes blocked. Whoever managed to play all of their Bendominos or has the lowest number of pips on their remaining tiles wins the round.

SCORING

When it comes to playing the game, I’ve learned a few things. Let me tell you why it’s important to understand the concept of winning and how to achieve it. Are you ready to discover the secret? Let’s dive in!

The Art of Winning

In this game, the key to success lies in besting your opponents. It’s a battle of wits, where strategy and skill reign supreme. How do you come out on top? By scoring points, of course!

When someone wins a round, they earn points equal to the total pips from their opponents’ tiles. It’s like a satisfying reward for their clever moves. Picture that smile on your face as you triumphantly collect your hard-earned points – it’s a feeling like no other!

Claiming Victory

The ultimate goal is to be the first player to reach 100 points or more. Once you hit that mark, the game is won, and you can bask in the glory of your triumph. It’s a moment to savor, knowing that your efforts and strategic thinking have paid off.

So, my friend, if you’re ready to take on the challenge, it’s time to dive into the game. Remember, the path to victory lies in outsmarting your opponents and racking up those precious points. Will you be the one to claim the title of champion? The choice is yours!
