Welcome to Axio, a game where we can all have fun together! In Axio, we get to be creative and strategic as we place colorful tiles on the playing space. Every time we add a tile, we have the chance to earn points based on the symbols and colors on the tile. But remember, where we place our tiles is just as important as the tiles themselves!

LET’S GET STARTED

First, we need to gather everything we need for the game. Each player will need five score markers and one score board. Place the score board in front of you and put your markers on the starting space that matches your color. Make sure everyone can see each player’s score board throughout the game.

Alright, let’s get this game started! First, we shuffle all the tiles and place them facedown. Then, we draw four tiles and arrange them in a neat little square in the middle of the playing area. We make sure there are no empty corners on the outside edges. Now, each player draws twelve tiles and keeps them beside them to create their own personal supply. Oh, and don’t forget to draw one card from your supply and keep it hidden from the others. Alright, we’re all set up and ready to begin!

Time to Play!

We’ll start with a random player. On your turn, you’ll do three things: place a tile, score it, and then draw a new tile. Once you’ve finished all three actions, it’s the next player’s turn. We’ll keep going in a clockwise direction around the group. Simple, right?

When I play a tile, I have to use the tile that I have and place it next to another tile on the board. The goal is to get as many points as possible without letting my opponents score too many points on their turn.

I score points by looking at each corner of my tile and only counting the corners that touch other tiles. I can earn points by matching symbols or colors. After I tally up my points, I add them to my score. Then, it’s time to draw a new tile from my supply.

I can only score up to twelve points for each color. If I score more than twelve, the extra points don’t count. The game keeps going until all players run out of tiles.
