Getting Started

Let’s begin by setting up the game. First, place the game board in the middle of the playing area. Make sure the players are on opposite sides of the board. Next, put the conflict pawn on the neutral space in the center of the game board. Now, take all of the Military tokens and place them face up on their assigned spots.

After that, shuffle the Progress tokens and randomly select five of them. Make sure they are facing up so that everyone can see them. Any leftover Progress tokens should be put back in the box for later in the game. Each player should also collect seven coins. Now, the game is all set and ready to go!

How to Play

When you play 7 Wonders, the game progresses through turns. Each player gets their own turn to do certain actions before it’s their opponent’s turn. It all starts with Age 1, where you get to pick a card from the card structure and play it. But there’s a catch – the card you choose must be accessible, which means it can’t be covered by other cards, even if it’s only partially covered.

Once you have your card, you have a few choices. You can use it to build a building, get some money by discarding it, or construct a wonder. The best part is, depending on what you decide, you might even get another turn. Each option has its own rules, allowing you to make different moves and strategize.

When you play a card in the game, you need to pay for it in order to build a building. Once the construction is complete, the building becomes a part of your city. If you decide to discard the card instead, you can take two coins from the bank. And if you have any yellow cards in your city, you can get an additional coin for each one.

Now, if you choose to use your card to construct a wonder, you’ll have to cover the cost of the wonder as well. Once all the age cards have been played, the next age begins. This pattern continues until the game ends.

But here’s where it gets interesting. If a player does reach supremacy, they automatically become the winner, no matter how many points the other player has throughout the game. It’s all about being the best at what you do!
