Zombicide Skills
I love playing Zombicide. It’s an exciting game that requires strategy and quick thinking. There are many different skills that can help you survive and thrive in the zombie apocalypse. Today, I want to talk about some of the most important skills and how they can give you an edge in the game.
First up, we have the “Double Strike” skill. This skill allows you to make two attacks instead of just one. Imagine the look on your friends’ faces when you take down two zombies with a single swing of your weapon! It’s a powerful skill that can turn the tide of battle in your favor.
Next, we have the “Rapid Fire” skill. With this skill, you can fire your ranged weapon twice in a single action. This is especially useful when you’re facing a horde of zombies and need to thin their numbers quickly. Just aim, pull the trigger, and watch as the undead fall before you.
Another important skill is “Born Leader.” As the name suggests, this skill allows you to take charge and lead your team more effectively. You can control an additional survivor, giving you more actions and options on your turn. Being a born leader can make all the difference when you’re outnumbered and need to make split-second decisions.
And let’s not forget the “Nimble” skill. With this skill, you can move two zones instead of just one during your turn. This extra mobility can be a game-changer, allowing you to escape danger or reach an objective faster. Being nimble means you’ll always stay one step ahead of the undead.
Last but certainly not least, we have the “Search” skill. This skill lets you search for items in a zone without using an action. In a world where supplies are scarce, being able to find weapons, ammo, and medical supplies can mean the difference between life and death. With the search skill, you’ll always be prepared for whatever comes your way.
In conclusion, skills are a crucial part of Zombicide. They can give you an advantage, help you survive, and make the game more immersive and exciting. So next time you play, remember to choose your skills wisely and use them to your advantage. Good luck, and may the undead tremble at your feet.
Hey there! I want to tell you about the cool Skills that each Survivor in Zombicide has. These Skills have special effects that I’ll describe in this section. Just so you know, if there’s ever a conflict between the Skill rules and the general rules, the Skill rules always come first.
Now, there are some Skills that aren’t given to the Survivors in this box. But don’t worry, you can try them out with Survivors you create in the future!
When a Survivor gets a Skill, they get to use its effects right away. That means they can use it on the same turn they acquire it. So if an Action makes a Survivor level up and gain a Skill, they can use that Skill immediately, as long as they have some Actions left. And hey, the Skill might even give them extra Actions to use!
+1 Action – This Skill is pretty awesome. The Survivor gets an extra Action that they can use however they want. Talk about a power boost!
+1 Damage: When I use this type of Action (either Melee or Ranged), I get a bonus of +1 Damage.
+1 to dice roll: In Combat, I add 1 to each roll of the die. This applies to both Melee and Ranged Actions. However, the maximum result can only be 6.
+1 to dice roll: During Melee Combat, I add 1 to each roll of the die. The highest possible result is still 6.
+1 to dice roll: In Ranged Combat, I add 1 to each roll of the die. The maximum outcome remains 6.
+1 die: In Combat (both Melee and Ranged), I gain an additional die when using my weapons. If I have dual weapons, each one grants me a die, resulting in a total of +2 dice per Dual Combat Action.
When I’m in a fight, I want to make sure I have every advantage possible. That’s why the +1 die ability is so important. It gives me an extra die to roll when I’m using my Melee weapons. And if I have dual melee weapons, each one gets an extra die, so I get a total of +2 dice per Dual Melee Combat Action.
But it’s not just Melee Combat where this ability comes in handy. It also applies to Ranged Combat. With the +1 die ability, my Ranged weapons also get an extra die. And just like with Melee weapons, if I have dual ranged weapons, each one gets an extra die, giving me a total of +2 dice per Dual Ranged Combat Action.
On top of the extra dice, I also get some free actions. With the +1 free Combat Action ability, I have an extra Combat Action that I can use for Melee or Ranged Combat.
And it’s not just Combat Actions that I get for free. With the +1 free Move Action ability, I have an extra Move Action that I can use to position myself strategically on the battlefield.
Lastly, the +1 free Search Action ability gives me an extra Search Action. This is really helpful when I’m trying to find useful items, but remember, I can still only Search once per turn.
+1 max Range – I can make my ranged weapons shoot even farther! With this skill, the maximum range of my weapons is increased by 1. It’s like giving them a power boost, allowing me to hit enemies from a greater distance.
+1 Zone per Move – I can move through more areas with ease! Normally, when I move, I can only go through one zone at a time. But with this skill, I can move through one extra zone with every move action I take. It’s like I have a secret shortcut that helps me cover more ground!
1 re-roll per turn – Sometimes, things don’t go as planned. But no worries! With this skill, I have the power to redo the dice rolls for any action I take. Once per turn, I can re-roll all the dice related to an action, and the new result replaces the old one. It’s like getting a second chance to get the outcome I want!
2 cocktails are better than 1 – When I want to create a Molotov, I get twice the fun! Instead of just one, I get two Molotov cards. It’s like having double the firepower to deal with those pesky zombies. Two is definitely better than one in this case!
2 Zones per Move Action – Want to cover more distance in less time? With this skill, I can move through not just one, but two zones with each move action I take. It’s like I have a turbo boost, helping me move around the game board faster!
Ambidextrous – You know what’s cool? Being ambidextrous. It means that I can use both my left and right hand with equal skill. And you know what’s even cooler? In the world of zombie apocalypses, being ambidextrous allows me to treat all of my melee and ranged weapons as if they had the “Dual” symbol. So whether I’m swinging a bat or shooting a gun, I can do it with precision and power. It’s like having the best of both worlds!
Born leader – You know those people who always seem to be in charge? Well, I’m one of them. I’m a born leader, and during my turn, I have the power to give one free action to another survivor. They can use that action however they want, but here’s the catch – they have to use it during their next turn. If they don’t, it’s gone forever. So, if my friend needs an extra boost or a helping hand, I’m there to lend a hand and lead the way!
Destiny – You know that feeling when you draw a card and it’s not what you were hoping for? Well, I have a pretty sweet skill called Destiny that allows me to change my fate. Once per turn, when I reveal an equipment card, I can discard it and draw another one instead. It’s like having the power to reshape my own destiny, and make sure I always get the tools I need to survive in this crazy zombie-filled world!
Gunslinger – I treat all Ranged weapons like they have the Dual symbol.
Hoard – I can carry an extra Equipment card in reserve.
Hold your nose – I can use this Skill once every turn. If I eliminate a Zombie during the same turn, even outside a building, I get a free Search Action in the Zone. Remember, I can only Search once per turn.
Is that all you’ve got? – Whenever I’m about to receive Wounded cards, I can use this Skill. I need to discard one Equipment card from my Survivor’s inventory for each Wound I’m about to receive. For each discarded Equipment card, I can negate one Wounded card.
Lock it down – By spending one Action, I can close an open door. Opening it again later will not trigger a new Zombie Spawn.
Loud – When I use this Skill, I can create a lot of noise! It’s like making a big boom! The area where I use this Skill will have the most Noise tokens on the whole map until it’s my turn again. But remember, if someone else has this Skill too, only the person who used it last will have the effects.
Lucky – I’m so lucky! Whenever I take an Action, I can roll the dice again if I don’t like the first result. It’s like getting a second chance! This Skill works with other Skills and Equipment that let me re-roll dice. So if I have a Skill or Equipment that says I can re-roll once per turn, I can use it along with Lucky for even more chances to get a good result.
A Perfect Match! – When I’m searching and draw a weapon card with the Dual symbol #image.jpg#image.jpg, I can instantly grab another card of the same type from the Equipment deck. Once I’ve done that, I’ll shuffle the deck so it’s ready for the next search.
Healing Hand – Once during my turn, I can easily remove a Wounded card from a fellow Survivor who shares the same Zone as me. I can even heal myself if I need to.
Stealthy Ninja – I’m a silent shadow in the midst of chaos. I don’t make any Noise, not even a peep. My miniature doesn’t attract any attention, and even when I use Equipment or weapons, I won’t produce any Noise tokens. Of course, I can choose to be loud if I want, but why give away my position?
Sneak Around – I’m so slippery that I don’t need to use extra Actions when I move through a Zone that’s infested with Zombies. They won’t slow me down!
Sniper Ability: Pick your targets!
As a Survivor, I have the unique ability to choose the targets of all my Ranged Combat Actions. This means I get to decide who I want to take down, giving me control over the battlefield.
Start with a Special Equipment
When the game starts, I already have a designated piece of Equipment. It’s automatically assigned to me before the game begins, so I’ll be ready to face any challenges right from the start.
Swordmaster – Hey there! I’m the Swordmaster, and I’ve got a special skill. I treat all Melee weapons like they have the Dual symbol. How cool is that?
Tough – You know what’s annoying? Getting attacked by a Zombie. But guess what? I ignore the first attack I receive from a single Zombie during their phase. They can’t catch me that easily!
Trick shot – Now this is a skill that’ll impress you. When I’m using Dual Ranged weapons, I can aim at targets in different Zones with each weapon during the same Action. Talk about being a sharpshooter!
