Zombicide Missions
Hey there, zombie slayers! Let’s talk about Zombicide missions. We all know how exhilarating and terrifying it is to face a horde of brain-hungry undead. But how do we navigate through these treacherous missions and come out alive? Let me break it down for you.
First off, we have to understand the different types of missions in Zombicide. There are rescue missions, where you have to save innocent survivors from a grisly fate. Then we have search missions, where you scavenge for essential supplies to keep you alive. And of course, there are the classic kill missions, where you have to eliminate as many zombies as possible.
Each mission comes with its own set of objectives, challenges, and rewards. It’s important to read through the mission brief carefully and plan your strategy accordingly. Remember, the fate of humanity is in your hands!
When you’re out on a mission, there are a few key things to keep in mind. First, always work as a team. Stick together, watch each other’s backs, and coordinate your actions. Zombies are relentless, but together, you stand a chance.
Second, manage your resources wisely. Ammo, weapons, and medical supplies are scarce, so make every bullet count. Don’t waste your precious resources on unnecessary kills. Be strategic in your decision-making.
Third, keep an eye on your surroundings. The layout of the mission area can make all the difference. Use the environment to your advantage. Find chokepoints, barricade doors, and set up traps. A little bit of ingenuity goes a long way in the fight against the undead.
And finally, don’t forget to stay calm and focused. The chaos of battle can be overwhelming, but panicking will only lead to mistakes. Take a deep breath, assess the situation, and keep your wits about you. You got this!
So, my fellow zombie slayers, remember these tips and go forth into the world of Zombicide. May your aim be true, your hand steady, and your survival instincts sharp. Good luck, and happy hunting!
Welcome to the Zombicide tutorial! This is where I’ll help you get familiar with the game. After that, there are ten missions that will really test your survival skills. You can play them in any order you like because they each offer a different experience in terms of style, size, difficulty, and play time.
Keep in mind that the special rules explained in each mission override the common rules and card rules.

Tutorial / 4+ Survivors / 20 Minutes
I was hanging out with some friends when suddenly, sirens started blaring all around us. It didn’t take long for more sirens to join in. In less than an hour, our world had turned upside down. The TV and radio broadcasted nothing but horrifying news.
We quickly made the decision to seek shelter at our neighbor’s house. We knew it was safer there, even though we had to cross the street. Little did we know, they were already waiting for us.
Tiles needed: 2B & 1B.
The Goal of the Game
Grab the Objective token.
Unique Guidelines
The creators of the game came up with some extra rules to make things more interesting. Pay attention to these special instructions:
1. You have the power to steal an opponent’s token if you land on the same space as them. But be careful, they can do the same to you!
2. Some spaces on the board are filled with traps. If you land on one of these spaces, you’ll have to go back a few steps. Don’t let it discourage you, though. Keep pushing forward!
3. Pay close attention to the Surprise cards. They can shake things up by granting you special abilities or hindering your opponents.
4. Use Strategy cards to your advantage. These cards allow you to make calculated moves and outsmart your opponents.
5. The game ends when someone finally reaches the objective space. But don’t worry, even if you are behind, there’s always a chance to catch up and win!
Remember, while these unique rules may seem overwhelming at first, they are what make the game exciting and unpredictable. So, embrace the challenge, think strategically, and have fun on your quest to claim victory in the game!
- Let’s make a reduced Zombie deck. We’ll only use the Zombie cards numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, and 41. The rest can be put away for now.
- We have a special starting equipment. Instead of giving out the Pistol, Fire Axe, and Crowbar cards as starting equipment, we’ll put them at the top of the Equipment deck. When the Survivors search a Zone, these will be the first three cards drawn. The Pan cards are dealt as usual.
Welcome to City Blocks!
It’s a challenging mission for 4 or more Survivors and will take approximately 150 minutes.
Our shelter is safe… for now. But our food supplies won’t last long. That’s why we’ve made the decision to arm ourselves and explore the surrounding houses. We can’t afford to come back empty-handed.
To play this mission, you’ll need the following tiles: 2C, 1C, 4B, 5C, 7B, 5D, 6B, 5E & 1B.
Objectives
- Your objective is to collect all the Objective tokens.
Achieving Victory in the Game
In order to emerge victorious from this challenging game, you’ll need to complete a series of objectives. Let’s break it down step by step to make sure you have a clear understanding.
Firstly, you must obtain three specific cards: one Canned Food card, one Rice card, and one Water card. These cards are crucial to your survival, so be sure to find them.
Once you have successfully obtained these cards, the next objective is to make your way to the Exit Zone indicated on the map. However, here’s the catch – you need to have at least one Survivor with you when you reach the Exit Zone.
If you manage to accomplish both of these objectives – acquiring the necessary cards and reaching the Exit Zone with a Survivor – then you win the game. It’s that simple!
Now, let’s talk about the Special Rules. Each Objective token you collect along the way will reward you with 5 experience points. Keep an eye out for these tokens, as they can make a big difference in the final outcome of the game.
So, there you have it. Remember, the key to victory is completing the objectives. Good luck!

Welcome to the Y-zone!
A Thrilling Adventure for Brave Survivors (Ages 4 and Up)
Things are getting pretty intense out here. Those relentless zombies just keep multiplying, and it feels like we’re losing the battle. The once vibrant and busy CB radio has fallen eerily silent. It’s time for us to make a move before it’s too late. Our supplies are dwindling, and I don’t know about you, but I could really use some toothpaste right about now.
Here’s what we’ll need: 4B, 4E, 1B, 7B, 5D, 6B, 3C, 4C, and 2C tiles.
The Goal: Make it to the Exit Zone with all Survivors
Our mission is to reach the Exit Zone marked on the map, ensuring that every single one of us makes it out alive. Stick together, stay alert, and we might just make it out of here in one piece.
Pay Attention to these Important Rules
Keep an eye out for the Objective token – it represents a vital medicine cabinet. When one of our brave Survivors grabs it, they will immediately recover from their Wounded state. This could be a game-changer for us!
The 24-Hour Race of Zombicity: A Thrilling Adventure
Medium Difficulty / Suitable for 4 or More Survivors / Estimated Playtime: 90 Minutes
Right before me lies a vast rest home, its buildings seemingly untouched by the chaos. I gaze at the cars scattered around, a glimmer of hope that some may still be operational. As my team and I approach, I can’t help but notice that the looters haven’t spent much time here. The supply room may be an untouched treasure trove, waiting to be discovered. But before we can explore, there’s a pressing matter at hand — the place is swarming with zombies.
The former occupants of this rest home didn’t stand a chance against the relentless undead. In order to move forward, we must first deal with this menacing horde. As I survey the scene, my mind drifts momentarily and I find myself longing for a moment of lightheartedness, a chewy piece of bubblegum to briefly escape the grim reality.
Tiles Required to Play: 2C, 4D, 4B, 5C, 6B, 5F, 1B, 3C & 4E.
The Goal: Survive and Complete the Red Danger Level
My mission is clear: I must lead at least one survivor through this perilous journey to reach the Red Danger Level. It won’t be an easy task, but failure is not an option.
Special Rules and Considerations
- When I find an Objective token, it gives me 5 experience points.
- You’re allowed to use cars.
- I can only search the pimpmobile once. It might have Ma’s Shotgun, or the Evil Twins (chosen randomly).
- If I search a police car, I can do it more than once. I keep drawing cards until I find a weapon, and then discard the rest. If the Aaahh! card appears, a Walker shows up and interrupts the search.
04 Drive-by Shooting
Medium / 4+ Survivors / 90 Minutes
Our shelter isn’t enough to keep us safe. The zombies keep coming, making it impossible to get any rest. Some of us are starting to lose it. There must be a nest nearby, probably in the business area by the subway entrance. As long as that threat exists, we’ll never stop being attacked.
I really need some new shoes that fit me.
Here are the tiles you’ll need: 3C, 4D, 2C, 5F, 4E, 4B, 2B & 5C.
What I need to do
- I need to grab all the Objective tokens.
- Once I’ve done that, all of us survivors have to get to the same Zombie Spawn Zone and make sure there are no zombies left in it.
Some special rules
- If you take an Objective token, you’ll get 5 experience points.
- Using cars is allowed.
- You can only search the pimpmobile once. Inside, you’ll find either Ma’s Shotgun or the Evil Twins, but it’s random.
- You can search a police car multiple times. Keep drawing cards until you find a weapon. Discard the other cards. If you draw the Aaahh! card, a Walker will appear and interrupt your Search.
05 Big W
Hard / 6+ Survivors / 180 Minutes
Zombies are dangerous, but they might not be the biggest threat. We need to constantly find new resources – food, weapons, ammo – and, most importantly, a safe shelter. Here we are, right in the city center, a concrete and glass graveyard.
Whoa, these big office buildings are crawling with zombies! We need to be super careful if we want to survive a few more days. Remember, we can’t open more than one door at a time and we can’t make too much noise. If we do, all the zombies in the city will come running at us in a matter of minutes!
Man, I had the weirdest dream last night. All I could think about was bacon. Just bacon. Delicious.
We need the following tiles: 5D, 2C, 1C, 7B, 5C, 6B, 5E, 1B & 4B.
Here’s the Plan
Our mission is to collect all the Objective tokens, no matter what it takes.
Rules to Live By
Each Objective token will give you 5 experience points once you grab it. So keep an eye out for those!
06 The Escape
Hard / 6+ Survivors / 150 Minutes
When the infection broke out, everyone rushed to the supermarkets for food, but that was a terrible idea. The zombies had already taken over those places. Luckily, we stumbled upon a Z-Mart in the suburbs.
Up until now, anyone who went inside one of those stores only ended up getting infected. Today, it’s our turn to face the crowd. We’ve used up all of our supplies, and there’s no other option. But hey, at least we have experience and we work well together.
I don’t know about you, but I could really use a bigger gun and some toilet paper.
Tiles needed: 4C, 2C, 7B, 3C, 1B & 5D.
Objectives
Here’s what we need to do, in this exact order:
- Take up to six supply cards and put them under the car tokens. The supplies can be Canned Food, Rice, or Water cards.
- Everyone else needs to get in the cars with the remaining survivors.
- Your main objective is to guide the survivors to the Exit Zone by using the cars. Once a car reaches the Zone, it will take the survivors and the supplies it carries with it. If at least six cars make it off the board, you win the game.
Extra Guidelines
- Survivors’ Starting Zone is off-limits to searching.
- Want to stash or grab supplies from a car? It’ll cost you one Action. Put (or take) one Canned Food, Rice, or Water card under a car token in your current Zone.
- Feel free to utilize the cars.
- I carefully scoped out the pimpmobile just once. Either Ma’s Shotgun or the Evil Twins, it had one or the other (chosen randomly).
- A police car can be searched multiple times. Keep drawing cards till you uncover a weapon. Discard the rest. The Aaahh! card does its usual thing – you know, summoning a Walker and interrupting the search.
07 Grindhouse
Easy / For 6 or more Survivors / Takes about 45 minutes
As everything was falling apart, something terrible happened at the nuclear power plant. The authorities, just before disappearing, put a bunch of power plant technicians in a wing of the hospital and quarantined them.
We have to make sure those people stay locked away forever, especially if they’re infected. You know what’s even worse than a regular zombie? A radioactive zombie. I can’t help but wonder where all the dogs went.
You’ll need these tiles: 3C, 2C, 2B & 4C.
The Goal of the Game
Stop the Zombie Spawn Zones.
Special Rules
- When I find an Objective token, I get 5 experience points.
- When I open a door, both doors in the same building open.
- There is one Walker in each building Zone at the start of the game.
- Some Zones on the plan have Noise counters that represent exits for the Zombies. If four Zombies reach these Zones, the game is lost.
- In order to stop the zombies from appearing in a certain area, I can take action in that area if there are no zombies present. Keep in mind that the zombie spawn zones are active even if the doors are locked.
Zombie Police
Difficulty: Hard / Recommended for 6+ Survivors / Duration: 180 Minutes
We managed to eliminate a zombie who used to be the mayor of this town. Surprisingly, we found a fax message from the police chief in the zombie’s possession. The message revealed the location of a secure hideout: an underground facility that had been converted into a bunker near the police station.
Inside the bunker, we discovered an armory, food supplies, and even a shower. It would be the perfect refuge for us. However, access to the bunker is remotely controlled, and the area is filled with zombies. Although it’s a risky mission, the rewards are worth it. Remember, what doesn’t kill you today may come back to haunt you tomorrow.
You will need the following tiles: 2C, 7B, 4B, 1B, 5C & 3C.
The Goal of the Game
Your objective is to put at least one Survivor in the designated “bunker” area as indicated on the map. You must eliminate all Zombies that are currently occupying the bunker.
Extra Rules
- I cannot open the blue door until I take the blue Objective.
- The blue Spawn Zone will activate once I take the blue Objective.
- I cannot open the green door until I take the green Objective.
- Each Objective token gives me 5 experience points when I take it.
- I am able to use cars.
- I can search the pimpmobile once. Inside, I may find either Ma’s Shotgun or the Evil Twins (randomly drawn).
- I can search a police car multiple times. I keep drawing cards until I find a weapon, then discard the rest. If I draw the Aaahh! card, a Walker appears and interrupts my search.
09 Might Makes Right
Medium / Special / 90 Minutes
I’ve stumbled upon a shelter, and miraculously, we have an abundance of supplies that could feed an entire army. Even better, we managed to find a functioning radio, which has led us to discovering another group of survivors in the suburbs.
Unfortunately, these survivors are in a perilous situation, surrounded by zombies and lacking any means to defend themselves. Although it sounds risky, I believe it’s crucial for us to come together and form an alliance. After all, unity is strength. Let’s extend a helping hand and make some new friends. By the way, guess what I found today? Dental floss! It felt like Christmas!
If you want to help out, we’ll need these specific tiles: 1B, 2B, 2C & 7B.
Just a heads up: Might Makes Right was designed with the intention of accommodating one to three players.
Our objectives:
- We need to gather all the Objective tokens.
In this game, I need to make sure that I have at least four, five, or six Survivors in the starting Zone, depending on how many players are involved. If there’s just one player, I need four Survivors; if there are two players, I need five Survivors; and if there are three players, I need six Survivors. It’s possible for a Survivor to leave the board during their turn, so I should keep them and their Equipment cards separate. I win the game once I have the required number of Survivors set aside.
Now, let’s talk about the Special Rules. At the beginning of the game, each player starts with a single Survivor. There are four Objectives on the map, but only one of them is special. The special Objective is marked with a blue side and a standard side, while the other three Objectives are neutral and have identical sides. It’s important to randomly place the counters face down, so nobody knows which one is the marked counter.
- When I pick up an Objective token, I earn 5 experience points. If someone else picks up a neutral Objective token, the player with the fewest Survivors chooses a new Survivor (if there’s a tie, the player who took the token decides).
Hey there, guess what? The new Survivor has just been revealed! They show up in the Zone where the Objective token was taken. But here’s the twist: they don’t have any Equipment. Don’t worry, though, because you can still play with them like you normally would. Oh and by the way, when you reveal that objective token, you don’t get an extra Survivor, but you do score 5 experience points. Cool, huh?
- Listen up! You can’t use the cars, alright? So don’t even think about it.
- Now, here’s something interesting: you can search a police car more than once! How about that? Keep picking cards until you find a weapon. Get rid of all the other cards that aren’t weapons. Oh, and watch out for the Aaahh! card – it’s gonna summon a Walker just like it normally would, and it’ll interrupt your search, so be ready for that!
Alright, let’s talk about this cool scenario called Small Town. It’s gonna challenge you, but it’s gonna be fun! So, we’re gonna be exploring the surrounding area in wider and wider concentric circles around our hideout. Sounds exciting, right? Now, keep in mind, it’s gonna be hard. You’ll need at least 4 Survivors, and it’ll take you about 120 Minutes to complete. Plus, the infection has been going on for several weeks now, so the zombie population is at its peak. Get ready for some serious action!
10 Small Town
Hard / 4+ Survivors / 120 Minutes
Back to basics. We’re exploring the surrounding area in wider and wider concentric circles around our hideout. Several weeks have passed since the infection began, and the zombie population has peaked.
I can’t stress enough how important it is to approach this task with caution. One wrong move and it could all go south. Thankfully, I made the smart decision to quit smoking, otherwise, all this running around would surely kill me.
Here’s what you need for this mission: 7B, 2B, 5B & 5C.
The Goal of the Game
Your main objective is to collect all of the Objective tokens.
Special Rules to Note
Each Objective token you acquire will grant you 5 experience points as a Survivor.
