Okay, here’s what you do. Grab a deck of cards and get ready to have some fun. The first step is to shuffle the cards. Give one card to each player and then create a draw pile with the rest of the cards. This draw pile will be placed face-up in the middle of the table.
Here’s the goal
The objective of the game is to be the player who collects the most cards from the draw pile by the end of the game.
How to play
When the game begins, we all turn over our cards and show them to everyone.
Now, the real challenge begins. We need to quickly find the matching symbols between our cards and the first card in the pile.
The moment I spot a match, I yell out the symbol’s name and snatch the card from the pile. It goes right on top of my own card.
And just like that, a new card is revealed for the next round.
We keep playing until all the cards in the pile have been snatched up.
That’s a wrap!
Once every single card has been claimed, the game comes to an end. The person with the most cards is declared the winner!
Next up: The Well
Getting Started
Let’s begin by dealing out all the cards. I’ll pass them out one at a time to each player, starting with the person who won the last mini-game.
After the cards are dealt, we’ll place the last card in the middle of the table, facing up.
Each player should then take their pile of cards and shuffle them. Once shuffled, you’ll have a draw pile in front of you, with the cards facing down.
Objective of the Game
The goal of the game is to be the fastest player to get rid of all your cards. Just make sure you’re not the last one holding cards!
Playing the Game
So here’s how it goes: when the game starts, we all flip our draw piles face-up.
The goal is to be quicker than everyone else and get rid of the cards in our draw piles by placing them on top of the card in the middle. The trick is that we have to find the matching symbol between the top card of our draw pile and the card in the middle.
But here’s the thing – as soon as someone places a card on top of the middle card, it changes. So, we have to be really fast!
The game ends when there’s only one player left with cards in their hand. And that unlucky player loses.
Onto Mini-Game #3: The Hot Potato
Game Setup
At the start of each round, I’ll give you a card. Keep it hidden in your hand without peeking. The rest of the cards will be set aside for future rounds.
Goal of the Game
Your aim is to be quicker than the other players at getting rid of your card.
How to Play
When the game begins, everyone will take turns playing a card from their hand. The card you play must have a higher value than the previous card played. For example, if the first card played is a 4, the next player must play a 5 or higher. If you don’t have a higher card, you must pick up all the played cards and add them to your hand.
The game continues until one player has played all their cards and is declared the winner. The remaining players keep track of the cards left in their hands. The player with the fewest cards at the end of the game is awarded the title of “most elite card player.”
So, remember, the key to winning is being quick and strategic. Are you ready to prove that you are the ultimate card master? Let’s find out!
Here’s how we play the game:
I’m going to reveal my cards, making sure you can see all the symbols. Just hold the card in your open hand like this, as shown in the picture.
When I find a symbol on my card that matches one on your card, I’ll say it out loud and place my card on top of yours.
Now it’s your turn. You have to find the matching symbol between your new card and the cards of the other players. If you find it, you get all the cards at once!
The game ends like this:
The last player with cards left loses the round and puts them on the table near them.
We can play as many rounds as we want, but we have to play at least 5.
When there are no more cards to give out, the mini-game stops. The loser is the one who collected the most cards.
Mini-Game #4: Gotta catch them all
Time to set up
At the start of each round, I’ll place a card face-up in the center of the table. Then, I’ll put face-down cards around it, one for each player. The leftover cards will be saved for later rounds.
What I’m going for
I want to collect more cards than everyone else and do it quickly.
How the game works
When we’re ready to go, we all flip over one of the face-down cards at the same time. I need to look for the symbol that matches the one on the card in the middle. Once I find it, I say the name of the symbol, take the matching card, and put it to the side. But remember, I can never take the middle card!
When it’s all over
Once all the cards that have been turned face up have been collected, we put the card in the middle of the pile of cards to be drawn and start a new round.
Everyone keeps the cards they collected. When there are no more cards to draw, the mini-game ends, and the person with the most cards wins.
Mini-Game #5: The Cursed Present
Getting Started
Let’s start by shuffling the cards. Each player gets one face-down card, and the rest of the cards go in a draw pile in the middle of the table. They are face-up, so everyone can see them.
Goal of the Game
The aim is simple – you want to end the game with the fewest cards from the draw pile.
Playing the Game
Now it’s time to play! Here’s how:
I’ll go first, and then we can take turns clockwise. On your turn, you have two options:
- Take a Card: You can choose to take one card from the draw pile and add it to your hand. Remember, the goal is to have the fewest cards at the end!
- Pass: If you don’t want to take a card, you can pass your turn to the next player. But be careful, because you might miss out on a great card!
The game continues until all the cards in the draw pile are gone. At that point, each player counts up how many cards they have in their hand. The player with the fewest cards is the winner!
So, let’s shuffle the cards, distribute them, and start playing. Good luck!
When the game starts, we all flip our cards face-up. We have to find the same symbol that’s on someone else’s card and the one in the draw pile.
If I’m the first one to spot the identical symbol, I get to name it. Then, I can take the card from the middle and put it on top of the player’s card who had the matching symbol. And when I take that card, a new one is revealed.
We keep playing this mini-game until there are no more cards left in the draw pile. Then, we’ll know who the winner is based on who has the fewest cards.
That’s how the game ends!
When all the cards from the draw pile are gone, the mini-game is finished. The winner is the person with the least amount of cards.
Now it’s time for Mini-Game #6: Triplet
Getting Started
First, I’ll show you how to set up the game. Take all the cards and place them face down in a neat pile.
The Goal
The aim of the game is simple – collect as many cards as you can!
Playing the Game
Now, let’s talk about how to play the game. Make sure to pay close attention!
Once the cards are set up, the first player flips over the top card from the pile and places it face up in the middle of the playing area.
As the game progresses, each player takes turns flipping over a card and placing it on top of the previously played card. The cards should be stacked neatly so that all players can see them.
Here’s the exciting part – if the card you flip over matches the card on top of the stack, be the quickest to shout “Snap!” and collect the entire stack of cards!
Keep playing until all the cards have been flipped over. The player with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner!
So, now that you know the rules, gather your friends, set up the cards, and get ready to have a blast playing Snap! Enjoy!
So here’s how it works. I take the first 9 cards and put them face up on the table. Then, all of us start searching for a symbol that matches on any 3 cards. But here’s the catch: all 3 cards must have the same symbol to make a set.
And when you spot that matching symbol, shout it out! For example, if you see the “Sun,” call it out loud. Then you can take the 3 cards you’ve won and replace them with 3 new ones.
When does the game end?
The game ends when there are fewer than 9 cards left, and there are no more sets of matching cards. At that point, the player with the most cards is the winner. Simple, right?
