What’s the Game About?

Let’s explore the exciting world of ZOOB by playing this game! The goal is to collect all the ZOOB pieces shown on the ZOOB Creation Card, race to the finish line, and build an amazing secret ZOOB Creation.

Setting Up for Fun

• First, put the ZOOB pieces in the box bottom.
• Next, pick your playing piece and put it on the matching START space.
• Now, mix up the ZOOB Creation Card deck. Give each player a card face down. Keep your card a secret.

Let’s Play the Game!

Who wants to go first? I’ll start!

Here’s how the game works. On your turn, you roll the die and move your playing piece. You can move in any direction, but you can only move the number of spaces that come up on the die. And remember, you can’t go back to a space you’ve already been to on the same turn.

After you move, you have a few options. You can either take a ZOOB piece from the box, grab one from another player, trade a piece with another player, or decide to end your turn. Easy, right? Then it’s the next person’s turn.

Make sure to move the exact number of spaces shown on the die, unless you’re already at the FINISH line and you’ve collected all your ZOOB pieces.

Oh, one more thing! You can’t start building your secret ZOOB Creation until you’ve collected all the ZOOB pieces on your card and made it to the FINISH line. Patience is key!

I love playing with Zoob! There are 5 basic pieces that snap together in 20 different ways.

Zoob Creation Cards

These cards show a picture of a cool Zoob Creation and tell you how many pieces you need to build it.

Zoob Wild Cards: There are two special Zoob Wild Cards in the deck. Each card tells you how many pieces of each color you need to collect before you can finish.

If you have a Zoob Wild Card, you get to create your own unique Zoob Creation using all the pieces on the card. Be sure to give it a fun name!

Landing on Spaces

When you end your turn on a space with:

I’m playing a game called ZOOB where each player takes turns and follows different rules based on the spaces they land on. Let me explain how it works!

If I land on a space with a picture of a ZOOB piece, I get to collect one ZOOB piece of that color from the box. This ends my turn, but I can collect more ZOOB pieces than what’s shown on my ZOOB Creation Card. If there are no more pieces of that color on the space, my turn ends.

Another space is the Free ZOOB space. When I land on it, I can choose any ZOOB piece I want from the box.

There’s also a space called Take a Friend’s ZOOB. If I land on this space, I can take any one ZOOB piece from one of my opponents.

The SWAP ZOOB space lets me exchange one ZOOB piece I’ve collected with a piece of my choice from another player.

If I land on my own START SPACE, my turn is over.

So those are the different spaces and what they mean in the game of ZOOB. Have fun playing!

Once you reach another player’s starting space, you have the opportunity to grab one ZOOB piece of any color from that player. Imagine this: you’re the blue player and you land on the yellow player’s start space. You can then take one of the yellow player’s pieces for yourself.

When you reach the finish space, your turn is over and you can start building your secret ZOOB design. Just remember, you can’t take a ZOOB piece from another player who has reached the finish space.

If you land on a ZOOB space, your turn is also over. You can’t take or swap ZOOB pieces with a player who is on the ZOOB space.

Once you follow the instructions for the space where you landed, your turn is done.

Now, let’s talk about taking ZOOB pieces from other players. If you end a move on a space that says “TAKE A FRIEND’S ZOOB” or on another player’s starting space, you can take one of their ZOOB pieces for yourself. So keep an eye out for those opportunities during the game!

When playing the game, there is a rule that states no player can take or swap a ZOOB piece with another player who is currently on the ZOOB space or the FINISH space.

The Grand Finale

Once a player has collected all the ZOOB pieces on their secret ZOOB Creation Card, they then roll the die and begin moving towards the FINISH space. While making their way to FINISH, players must still follow all the normal rules of the game.

After collecting all the ZOOB pieces on their Creation Card, players no longer need to roll an exact number to reach the FINISH space.

When a player finally reaches the FINISH space, they must return any extra ZOOB pieces they collected back to the box, and then quickly start constructing the image shown on their ZOOB Creation Card.

As I’m playing FINISH, I notice that while I’m building my Creation, the rest of the players keep playing until they also head towards FINISH. Once they’ve collected all the ZOOB pieces mentioned on their ZOOB Creation Cards, they can start building their own Creations.

The end of the game

If I’m the first player to successfully construct the ZOOB Creation on my card once I’ve reached FINISH, then I’m the winner!

But here’s the thing, if I have a ZOOB Wild Card, I need to let everyone know the name of my ZOOB Creation in order to win.

However, it’s important to note that I can’t start constructing my ZOOB Creation until I’ve collected all the ZOOB pieces shown on my card and I’ve reached the FINISH space.
