Game Rules: Would You Rather
Hey there! Are you ready to play the exciting game of “Would You Rather”? Well, buckle up, because it’s time for some tough choices!
In this game, I will present you with two options, and you have to decide which one you’d rather choose. It’s not always an easy decision, but that’s what makes it so much fun!
Now, let me explain how it all works. I will give you two scenarios, and you have to tell me which one you would prefer. It’s like a game of “this or that”, but with a twist!
For example, I might ask you, “Would you rather have the ability to fly or be invisible?” It’s a tough choice, right? Think about it for a moment and then let me know your answer.
Remember, there are no right or wrong answers in this game. It’s all about what you personally prefer. You might surprise yourself with your choices!
Once you’ve made your decision, we can move on to the next question. There’s no time limit, so feel free to take your time and think it through.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you’re not limited to just one-word answers. You can give me as much detail as you’d like to explain your choice. I’m all ears!
If you’re playing with a group of friends, you can take turns asking each other the “Would You Rather” questions. It’s a great way to get to know each other better and spark some interesting conversations.
So, are you ready to start playing “Would You Rather”? Let’s jump right in and have some fun!
So here’s the deal: we’re playing a game. The goal is to make decisions when faced with dilemmas and then speculate and vote on other people’s choices. The objective? Be the first player to reach the finish space on the game board.
Setting Up
If you’re new to the game, start by putting the spinner in the middle of the board. It should have a diagram, but if not, don’t worry – it’s not rocket science. Just make sure to place the board somewhere easily accessible. Putting it on top of the fridge or under the couch would be a bad move.
When you play the game, you’ll each get an ‘A’ and ‘B’ voting card and then pick a mover piece. To start, everyone puts their mover piece in the right spot. Makes sense, right?
If you’re throwing a party and have extra players, you can get creative and make your own voting cards using old board games that you don’t play anymore. And while you’re at it, you might as well take the mover pieces too, because chances are you’ll need them.
If there’s a whole bunch of people playing in a big room, you can form teams. These teams have to work together and come up with a group decision.
We suggest keeping all the question cards neatly stacked beside the board. And if you end up with any extra pieces, like voting cards or mover pieces, put them back in the box to keep them safe.
You never know how far your friends might go to cheat, even in a fun game. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
Note: If there are many people playing, you may want to choose one person to be the reader. This person will not participate in the game but will instead act as the host and read the cards aloud. It’s a good idea to select an outgoing person, an unemployed actor, or someone you aren’t particularly fond of for this role.
How to Decide Who Plays First
When it’s your turn to make the call, you have the power to decide who plays first. You can use a variety of methods to settle this, like flipping a coin or arm-wrestling. Another option is to engage in a thrilling game of “rock-paper-scissors.”
Keep in mind that no matter which method you choose, someone might feel a little disappointed. But let’s not dwell on that. The most important thing is to keep the game fun, so why not be the bigger person and let them go first? After all, no one wants to be stuck with a cry-baby, right?
Hey there! Ready to play the game? Here’s how it works: I’ll spin the spinner in the middle of the board to determine the category of the dilemma you’ll face. We have categories like love, powers, fantasy, punishment, curses, and pot luck.
If you’re lucky enough, the spinner might land on ‘free pick’, and you’ll get to choose which category you want your dilemma to be from. How cool is that?
Now, the person to my left is the reader. They’ll pick up the top card from the pile and read the dilemma out loud. Each dilemma has an ‘A’ and a ‘B’ option for you to choose from. Are you ready to dive into the game? Let’s get started!
When I’m faced with a choice like this, I have to put some serious thought into it. Do I go with option ‘A’ or option ‘B’? It’s a tough decision, and I don’t want to give away my choice – that would spoil the whole game! So, I carefully and quietly place my card in front of me, face down, making sure no one can catch a glimpse of what I’ve decided.
Alright, let’s dive into the game! We have a player, and everyone else gets to join in on the fun by placing their bets. Take a moment to think about how well you know the player. What do you think they will choose?
Now, here’s the twist – you’re not supposed to choose what you would have preferred, but rather what you think the player would choose. So, go ahead and cast your vote by placing your card facedown in front of you.
Once everyone has made their choice, the player reveals their answer. Then, it’s time for the big reveal. What did you think the player would have chosen?
If no one’s guess matches the player’s answer, the player gets to move their token forward 3 spaces on the board. But if anyone guessed correctly, those lucky players get to move their token ahead by 1 space.
Are you following along? If nobody gets it right, the player scores big with a 3-space move. But those who guessed correctly still get a little reward with a 1-space advance.
Feel free to debate and argue over the choices made. In fact, we encourage a lively discussion to add some extra spice to the game.
Whenever it’s my turn, I get to play a card and then pass the spinner to the next person. Just one spin per turn, and I can’t move more than once. Oh, and passing the start space doesn’t get me anything. I have to let someone else spin the spinner when I’m done.
Winning the Game
The person who reaches the finish space first is the winner!
If more than one person reaches the finish space at the same time, we can all be winners and play another round. Or we can settle it by flipping a coin, arm wrestling, or playing a few rounds of rock-paper-scissors.
