UNO Wild Jackpot Game Rules
Hey there! Ready for some fun? I’m here to explain the exciting rules of the UNO Wild Jackpot game. Buckle up and get ready!
So, let’s start with the basics. In this game, the player’s goal is to get rid of all their cards. Each player starts with a hand of seven cards. The remaining cards are placed in a draw pile. The top card of the draw pile is turned over to begin the discard pile.
Now here’s the twist. In the UNO Wild Jackpot game, there’s an added element of surprise. You never know what wild things might happen! The game includes a special “Wild Jackpot” spinner. This spinner determines what you have to do next.
When it’s your turn, you spin the Wild Jackpot spinner. There are different outcomes based on where the spinner points. For example, it might land on “discard two” – in that case, you must discard two cards from your hand into the discard pile. Or it could land on “draw two” – in that case, you have to draw two cards from the draw pile and add them to your hand.
But that’s not all! The spinner might also land on “wild color” or “skip your turn”. “Wild color” allows you to choose the color that continues play, while “skip your turn” means you have to pass your turn to the next player.
Remember, the Wild Jackpot spinner adds an element of unpredictability and excitement to the game. Each spin brings a new challenge!
I hope you’re ready to unleash your competitive spirit and have a blast playing UNO Wild Jackpot. Get your friends and family together, and let the fun begin!

– Instructions
The objective of the game is to be the first player to discard all of your cards in each round and earn points for the cards that your opponents still hold. The points are accumulated throughout multiple rounds, and the first player to reach 500 points wins the game.
To set up the game, follow the instructions provided.
- First, I’ll give everyone the same number of Customizable Rule cards. If there are any cards left over, we’ll put them aside for now.
- Next, we’ll each take a marker and come up with our own fun, unique, or crazy rule for each of our Customizable Rule cards. If you need some inspiration, you can check out the Customizable Card Suggestion List.
- Once we’ve all finished writing our rules, we’ll gather up the cards, mix them up, and put them in the card dispenser.
So, here’s what you do:
- First, put the UNO Wild Jackpot unit right in the middle of the table.
- Next, mix up all the other UNO cards.
- Now, every player picks a card. The one with the highest number gets to be the dealer. But remember, any card with a symbol on it doesn’t count – it’s like having a zero.
- The dealer takes the cards and gives each player 7 cards.
- Take the rest of the cards and put them face down. This is your draw pile.
- Turn over the top card from the draw pile to start the discard pile.
That’s it! Now you’re ready to start playing UNO Wild Jackpot. Have fun!
How to Play the Game
Alright, let’s talk about how this game goes down.
First things first, the person sitting to the left of the dealer starts the whole shebang.
When it’s your turn, you gotta find a card in your hand that matches the card on the top of the discard pile. You can match it by number, color, or even symbol (those funky Action Cards)
For example, let’s say the card on the discard pile is a red 7. In that case, you gotta put down a red card or any color 7. But, here’s the twist – you can also play a Wild card.
But hold your horses, partner. If you don’t have a card that matches the one from the discard pile, you gotta take a card from the draw pile. And guess what? If the card you pick up can be played, you’re in luck! You can slap it down right then and there. If not, well, sucks to be you, and play moves on to the next person.
If you don’t want to play a card from your hand, you can choose not to. In that case, you need to draw a card from the draw pile. If the card you draw is playable, you can put it down in the same turn. However, you can’t play any other card from your hand after drawing.
Action Cards
Playing the Draw Two Card
When I play this card, you have to pick up two cards and skip your turn.
You can only play this card if it matches the color of the previous card or if another Draw Two card has been played. If it’s the first card turned up, the same rule still applies.
Turnaround Card
When you use this card, the flow of the game switches direction. If the game is currently moving to the left, it will now move to the right, and vice versa. This card can only be played on a card that matches in color or on another Turnaround card.
If this card is revealed at the start of the game, the dealer starts the game. The game will then proceed in the opposite direction, moving to the right instead of the left.
Skip Card
Hey there! When you play this card, you get to make the next player lose their turn. Pretty neat, huh? Just remember that you can only play this card on a color that matches or on another Skip card.
Oh, and here’s an interesting twist: If a Skip card is the first one to show up, the player to the left of the dealer gets skipped! That means the player to their left gets to start the game. Talk about turning things around, right?
Wild Card
When you use this card, you have the power to pick any color to keep the game going. It can be the same color as before or a totally new color – it’s up to you to decide!
Even if you have another card that you can play, you can still use the Wild card during your turn. And if the Wild card is the first one to be drawn, the player on the left of the dealer gets to choose the color for the game.
Wild Draw 4 Card
When I play the Wild Draw 4 card, I get to choose the color that continues the game, and the next player must draw 4 cards from the draw pile and lose their turn.
But here’s the catch! I can only play this card when I don’t have another card in my hand that matches the color on the discard pile (although it’s okay to play if I have a matching number or Action Card).
If the Wild Draw 4 card is turned up at the beginning of the game, I have to put it back in the deck and choose another card.
Note: If you think someone played a Wild Draw 4 card unfairly (like if they actually have a matching card), you can question them. The player you questioned has to show you their cards. If they’re guilty, they have to draw the 4 cards instead of you. But if they’re innocent, you have to draw the 4 cards and 2 more cards on top of that (a total of 6 cards!).
Jackpot Card
When you play this card, you get to pull the Wild Jackpot lever. But remember, there’s a catch – you can only play it on a card of the same color or on another Jackpot card. Check out the chart below to see what happens when you give that lever a tug.
Once you’re done with the Jackpot Lever, the game continues with the next player in the current direction. No time to waste!
If a Jackpot card is revealed right at the start, the person to the left of the dealer gets to choose any player at the table. Then, they press that shiny button on the front of the unit, and out comes a Customizable Rule card. The lucky player chosen has to follow the rule listed on that card. How exciting!
Get Ready for the Wild Jackpot Card!
Hey there! When you play this card, get ready to experience the thrill of pulling the Wild Jackpot lever. The best part? You can play it at any time, even if you already have a playable card in your hand.
Check out the chart below to see what happens once you pull that Wild Jackpot lever. After the lever action is done, the game keeps going with the next player in the current direction of play.
If a Wild Jackpot card shows up right at the start of the game, here’s what happens next: the person to the left of the dealer gets to choose any player at the table. Then, they press the button on the front of the unit to dispense a Customizable Rule card.
Now, the chosen player has to follow the rule on the Customizable Rule card. And since this card is wild, the player who played it even gets to pick the color that everyone will continue playing with.
Get ready for some Wild Jackpot lever action!
When I pull the Wild Jackpot Lever, the Spinner spins and randomly stops on one of the following symbols:
Let’s have some fun! I want you to pick any player, including yourself. Just press the button on the front of the unit to deal a card with a cool rule on it.
Hey there! Wanna spice up your game night? I’ve got just the thing for you. Here’s how it works – you press the button on the front of the unit, and voila! A Customizable Rule card appears. But wait, the fun doesn’t stop there. The player sitting to your right has to follow the rule written on that card. How cool is that?
When you play this game, all you have to do is press the button on the front of the unit. That will give you a Customizable Rule card. But here’s the twist: the player sitting to your LEFT has to follow the rule written on that card.
When you play this game, the first thing you need to do is press the button on the front of the unit. This will give each player a Customizable Rule card. And here’s the fun part – starting with you, each player has to perform the rule written on their card.
Hey there! Let me tell you all about discarding cards in a fun game. You have the power to choose which cards you want to get rid of from your hand and put them in the discard pile. And get this – you can toss away up to one card of each color! How cool is that?
Now, here’s the best part. You can play the cards in any order you want. It’s like having complete control! And here’s the cherry on top: if any of the cards you play happen to be action cards, they’ll have an effect on the next player. Talk about a game-changer!
Hey there! Let me break it down for you. Choose 4 cards from the DRAW pile. Simple enough, right?
Once the Jackpot Lever does its thing, it’s the next player’s turn. Oh, and the direction of play stays the same. Any rule cards you used? Put ’em behind the Wild Jackpot unit. And don’t worry if you run out of rule cards, just shuffle the ones you used and load ’em back in.
Oh, by the way, the cards are erasable. So, go ahead and write new rules every time you play. How cool is that?
Got No Ideas? We’ve Got You Covered!
If you need some inspiration, check out these customizable card suggestions. They can be serious or totally wacky. It’s up to you!
- First, I’ll get rid of all but two cards in my hand.
- Next, I’ll play as many cards in a row as I can.
- Then, I’ll draw cards until I have seven in my hand.
- After that, I’ll play all of my Wild cards.
- If someone has the most cards, I’ll take two from them.
- For fun, I’ll make chicken noises until my next turn.
- I’ll give a hug to the player with the most cards.
- And to add even more excitement, I’ll give each player a high five with my feet!
Going Out
When I play my second-to-last card, I have to shout “UNO”! This lets everyone know I only have one card left. If I forget to say “UNO” and someone catches me before the next player starts their turn, I have to draw two extra cards.
Once all my cards are gone, the round ends. We tally up the points and start a new game.
When you play a Draw Two or Wild Draw Four card as the last card in a round, the next player has to draw 2 or 4 cards, respectively. And guess what? These cards actually count when we tally up the points!
Now, here’s what happens if nobody has gotten rid of all their cards when we run out of cards in the draw pile: we just reshuffle the discard pile and keep the game going. Phew!
Let’s Keep Score!
So, the first player to get rid of all their cards in a round gets to score some points! And here’s how it works:
- All number cards (0-9): You get points based on their face value. Simple as that!
- Draw Two: Getting this card out of your hand earns you 20 points. Nice!
- Reverse: You’ll also get 20 points for playing this card. Not too shabby!
- Skip: Yep, you guessed it. Another 20 points for you!
- Wild: Take home 50 points just for playing this exciting card!
- Wild Draw Four: Want even more points? How about 50 of them for playing this powerful card!
- Wild Jackpot: Play this card, and you’ll be proud owner of 50 shiny points!
- Jackpot: Last but not least, grab 40 points for playing this special card.
So, here’s how it works: once we’ve all finished a round and added up our points, if none of us has reached 500, we’ll just shuffle the cards and start a new round. Simple, right?
Now, let’s talk about what happens when the game is over.
The thing is, the winner of the game is the one who gets to 500 points first.
