UNO Blast Game Rules – Explained in Simple Terms
Hey there! Let’s dive into the thrilling world of UNO Blast and uncover the rules together. Brace yourself for an exciting adventure!
Setting Up
To get started, we need to set up the game. First, we’ll shuffle all the cards and distribute seven to each player. The remaining deck will be placed face down, serving as a draw pile. Flip over the top card and put it next to the draw pile. This card is the start of the discard pile.
Objective
Your goal is to be the first to get rid of all your cards. You achieve this by playing cards that match the color, number, or symbol of the top card in the discard pile. Pay close attention, as you’ll need to strategize and use your wit to outsmart your opponents!
Gameplay
When it’s your turn, you must either play a card or draw from the draw pile. If you have a card that matches the top card of the discard pile, you’re in luck! You can place it on top, and your turn ends. If you don’t have a matching card, you must draw from the pile until you get a playable card.
But be warned! In UNO Blast, surprises await. If you happen to draw a card that shows the Dynamite symbol, you’ll need to place it face up and continue drawing. When the Dynamite detonates, the unlucky player holding it will have to draw three additional cards!
There’s more to watch out for! If you draw a Blast card, you’ll need to press the UNO Blast button on the detonator. This creates a race against time! All players must quickly scramble to get rid of their cards before the timer runs out. If you fail to play a card, you’ll be dealt an extra card as a penalty.
Special Cards
UNO Blast is packed with special cards that can change the course of the game. Here are a few:
- Skip: When you play a Skip card, you choose an opponent to skip their turn.
- Reverse: A Reverse card allows you to change the direction of play. For example, if the game was going clockwise, it now goes counterclockwise.
- Wild: The Wild card lets you choose the next color to be played.
- Draw Two: Playing a Draw Two card forces the next player to draw two extra cards.
Winning
The game continues until one player has played all their cards. They’ll be crowned the champion, and everyone else totals the points of their remaining cards. The points are assigned based on the card values, with special cards having extra point values. It’s all about being strategic and getting rid of your cards the fastest!
Now that you have a good grasp of UNO Blast, gather your friends and embark on an electrifying journey filled with twists and intense card battles. May the luckiest player prevail!

Let’s Get Started
So, here’s the deal. You and your friends will be playing a thrilling game called UNO Blast. We’ll use a special device called the Card Blaster to make things even more exciting!
The goal is simple: be the first one to get rid of all your cards. But be careful! You don’t want to set off the Card Blaster. Oh, and by the way, you’ll earn points based on the cards your opponents are stuck with. Accumulate enough points, and you’ll emerge as the ultimate winner with 500 points.
Preparation Phase
- First things first, turn on the UNO Blast device and place it in the middle of the playing area.
Here’s how to play UNO Blast:
1. We all draw a card, and the person with the highest number card deals. Symbols count as zero.
2. The dealer gives each player 7 cards.
3. The rest of the deck becomes the DRAW pile, placed facedown.
4. The top card of the DRAW pile starts the DISCARD pile.
5. If you’re feeling bold, you can choose not to play a card from your hand. But remember, you still have to draw a card from the DRAW pile and put it in the Card Blaster.
6. If you draw a playable card, you can’t play it right away. These cards must go in the Card Blaster.
7. UNO Blast has 3 special cards: Draw One, Discard Color, and Wild Blast. Check out the “Functions of Actions Cards” for more information.
When we play this card game, the person sitting on the left side of the dealer gets to start. After that, we take turns in a clockwise direction.
When it’s your turn, all you have to do is match a card from your hand with the card on top of the DISCARD pile. Matching can be done by number, color, or symbol. Symbols are special because they represent Action Cards. If you want to know more about what these Action Cards can do, keep reading!
Let’s look at an example. If the card on the DISCARD pile is a red 7, you have a few options. You can put down a red card with any number, or you can put down any color card with a number 7. Another option is to put down a Wild card, which has some special powers.
But what if you don’t have a card that matches the one on the DISCARD pile? In that case, you have to draw a card from the DRAW pile. Once you have the card, you’ll need to put it into one of the slots in the Card Blaster. The Card Blaster is a cool machine that we’ll talk about next.
Special Rules for UNO Blast
The Game of UNO Blast
Welcome to the exciting world of UNO Blast! In this fast-paced card game, the goal is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards.
UNO Blast adds an exciting twist to the classic UNO game by using a motorized card launcher. This blast unit launches cards into the air, adding an element of surprise and suspense to the game!
The Special Rules
Here are some special rules to keep in mind when playing UNO Blast:
1. Card Launcher
The card launcher is an essential part of this game. Before the game begins, make sure the blast unit is fully loaded with UNO Blast cards.
During your turn, you’ll need to press the launch button on the launcher to send cards flying into the air. This adds a thrilling element as the cards might not land where you expect!
2. Drawing Cards
If you can’t play a card from your hand, you’ll need to draw one from the deck. The number of cards you draw depends on the color of the card launched by the blast unit:
- Blue, Green, Red, or Yellow Card: Draw one card.
- Wild Card: Draw two cards.
- Wild Blast Card: Draw three cards.
3. Matching Colors or Numbers
If a card is launched and you have a card of the same color or number in your hand, you can play it immediately. This can help you get rid of cards quickly and keep the game moving.
4. Skipping a Turn
If a Skip card is launched, the next player’s turn is skipped. This can give you a strategic advantage by disrupting your opponents’ plans.
Final Thoughts
UNO Blast is a thrilling and action-packed game that brings a whole new level of excitement to the classic UNO experience. With its card launcher and special rules, every game is filled with surprises and unexpected twists. So gather your friends and family, and get ready to blast your way to victory in UNO Blast!
- Whenever you have to pick a card from the DRAW pile, put it in one of the empty slots on the Card Blaster. You can choose any slot as long as it doesn’t have another card in it. But be careful, you never know which slot will set off the blast!
- If you put your card in a slot and nothing happens, then you’re safe and your turn is done.
- If your card triggers the blast, you have to collect all the cards that come shooting out and add them to your hand. Your turn is over.
Action Cards
Action cards are a versatile tool that can enhance your gameplay and provide strategic advantages. They come in various forms and can be used in different situations to give you an edge over your opponents. Let me introduce you to the world of action cards and the benefits they bring to the table.
Action cards serve as a way to shake up the game and introduce new dynamics. They can be played during your turn or in response to your opponent’s moves, allowing you to adapt and change course as needed. These cards often have unique abilities or effects that can impact the game in unexpected ways.
The beauty of action cards lies in their ability to surprise and challenge both you and your opponents. They add an element of unpredictability to the game, making each match unique and exciting. With action cards in your deck, you’ll always have a trick up your sleeve.
One of the key advantages of action cards is their ability to turn the tide of the game in your favor. Whether it’s a card that allows you to draw extra cards, deal damage to your opponent, or counter their moves, action cards can give you the upper hand when you need it most. And if you’re feeling lucky, there are even cards that can completely change the game’s rules, opening up new possibilities and strategies.
But action cards are not without risks. While they can provide significant advantages, they can also backfire if not used wisely. Using the wrong card at the wrong time can give your opponent an advantage or waste a valuable resource. It’s important to consider your options carefully and assess the situation before playing an action card.
So, if you’re looking to elevate your gameplay experience and add some excitement to your matches, action cards are a must-have. They offer a thrilling and dynamic element to any game, keeping you on your toes and challenging your strategic thinking. Incorporate action cards into your deck, and get ready to unleash powerful moves and unexpected twists. The game will never be the same again!
Play a Card, Make Them Draw
So, here’s the deal: when you decide it’s time to play this card, the player who comes next is in for a surprise. They have to draw another card and put it straight into the Card Blaster! Yep, it’s their turn, just like that.
Bye-Bye Color Card
Hey there! When you play this card, you can get rid of all the cards of that same color you have in your hand. Cool, right? So, let’s say you play a blue Bye-Bye Color card, you can toss away all your blue cards.
Now, the card you put on top of the DISCARD pile keeps the game going. Pretty straightforward, huh?
Switcheroo Card
When you use this card, something magical happens – the flow of the game flips on its head. It’s like a sudden twist that catches everyone by surprise! Now, instead of going clockwise, we’re going to change things up and go counterclockwise. It’s an unexpected turn of events that keeps us all on our toes.
Skip Card
When you use this card, the next player has to skip their turn. It’s like pressing the pause button on their gameplay.
The Mysterious Wild Card
Let me tell you about this mystical card called the Wild card! It’s a special one because it can be played to match any other card. How amazing is that?
When I get my hands on a Wild card, I feel like I have a secret power. You see, when I play this card, I get to choose any color I want to keep the game going. It’s like having the ability to bend the rules just a little bit.
The Wild Blast Card: A Blast of Excitement!
Hey there! Let’s talk about the Wild Blast Card. It’s a super cool card that works just like a regular Wild card. But wait, there’s more! When you play this card, something really awesome happens. The next player must draw and insert cards into the Card Blaster until the blast is triggered. How cool is that?
Here’s the best part. Once the blast is triggered, all the cards that come flying out become part of the next player’s hand. Woo-hoo! But, keep in mind, this counts as their turn. So, not only do they get a bunch of new cards, but it’s also their move. Talk about a wild ride!
Going Out & Shouting “Uno!”
- Picture this: you’re down to your very last card. Exciting, right? Well, in this game, when that happens, you have to yell “UNO!” to let everyone know you’re almost there. It’s a fun way to show that you only have one card left. Don’t forget to shout it out, or else there’s a little consequence. If you get caught without yelling “UNO!” before the next player starts their turn, you gotta draw two more cards. Uh-oh!
- Now, the game gets even more intense. When a player has no cards left, it means that the round is over. That’s when the scoring happens (we’ll talk about that in a bit), and then it’s time to start a new round. Fresh start, fresh excitement!
- But hold on, there’s a twist! If the DRAW pile runs out of cards and still no player is out of cards, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered. Just shuffle the DISCARD pile and keep playing. The fun never ends!
Scoring: Let’s Count ‘Em Up!
When I’m playing a round of a game, I want to be the first one to get rid of my cards. Not only do I feel accomplished, but I also earn points based on the cards left in the hands of my opponents. Let me break it down for you:
- If I have any number cards (1-9H): I earn points equal to the face value of the card.
- If I have a Draw One card: That’s a whopping 20 points for me!
- If I have a Discard Color card: Another 20 points coming my way!
- If I have a Reverse card: 20 points for me!
- If I have a Skip card: That’s right, 20 more points.
- If I have a Wild card: I hit the jackpot with 50 points!
- If I have a Wild Blast card: Another 50 points in my pocket!
After adding up the points for the round, we can reshuffle the cards if none of us has reached 500 points yet. Then, it’s time for a fresh round of excitement!
Now, here’s a tip for you: If you’re not into keeping score, no worries! Some people prefer to let go of the points and just focus on getting rid of all their cards. And guess what? The first person to achieve that wins!
But wait, there’s more!
The ultimate goal is to be the first player to accumulate 500 points. So keep playing, keep scoring, and reach for that victory!
Another Way to Score Points
There’s a different method to score points that adds up everyone’s points at the end of each round.
Once a player gets to 500 points, the player with the fewest points wins.
