UNO Attack Game Instructions
Introduction
Welcome to the world of UNO Attack, a fast-paced and unpredictable card game that takes the classic UNO game to a whole new level! In this guide, I will walk you through the game rules and provide you with everything you need to know to play UNO Attack successfully. Are you ready? Let’s dive in!
Game Objective
The objective of UNO Attack is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards. The player who does this successfully is declared the winner of the game. Simple enough, right?
Setting Up the Game
Before we get started, let’s set up the game. First, shuffle the deck of UNO Attack cards and deal each player seven cards. Put the remaining cards facedown in the card dispenser, with the top card facing up. Remember to keep the card dispenser within easy reach of all players throughout the game.
Gameplay
Now it’s time to start playing UNO Attack! The player to the left of the dealer goes first, and the game continues clockwise.
On your turn, you must follow these steps:
- Press the launcher button on the card dispenser. This will shoot out a random number of cards.
- If you receive any cards, add them to your hand.
- If you have a playable card that matches the color, number, or symbol of the top card on the discard pile, you can play it. Just like in traditional UNO, follow the card’s instructions if it has any special effects.
- If you don’t have a playable card, press the launcher button again and hope that luck is on your side!
If the card dispenser runs out of cards, reshuffle the cards from the discard pile and continue playing.
Special Cards
UNO Attack incorporates special cards to spice up the gameplay. Here’s a quick rundown of these cards and their effects:
- Skip Card: When this card is played, the next player in turn is skipped, and it moves on to the following player.
- Reverse Card: When this card is played, the direction of play is reversed. For example, if the game was moving clockwise, it will switch to counterclockwise.
- Draw Two Card: When this card is played, the next player in turn must draw two cards and skip their turn.
- Wild Card: When this card is played, you get to choose the color that continues the game. Play this card strategically to your advantage.
- Wild Draw Four Card: The Wild Draw Four Card is a powerful card. When played, you can choose the color, and the next player in turn must draw four cards and skip their turn. However, you can only play this card if you don’t have any other playable card in your hand.
Remember, the special cards can be combined for even greater impact!
Winning the Game
The first player to get rid of all their cards must quickly press the Uno button on the card dispenser. If another player notices that you haven’t pressed the button, they can challenge you, and you will have to draw two cards as a penalty. However, if you have pressed the button and another player challenges you incorrectly, they will have to draw two cards instead. Stay alert!
The game continues until a player reaches 500 points. At that point, the player with the lowest score is declared the ultimate winner of UNO Attack!

So, What’s the Objective?
The goal is simple – be the first player to reach 500 points. You can score points by getting rid of all the cards in your hand, but be crafty – you also score points for the cards left in your opponents’ hands. Strategy and quick thinking will be key in this exciting game!
How to Play the Game
When you play this game, each player gets 7 cards. To start the game, put one card from the deck on top of the Launcher. Then, open the Launcher and put the rest of the cards face down inside. Close the Launcher and turn the ON/OFF switch on the bottom to “ON”.
Hey there! I just wanted to give you a quick tip on how to close the launcher. First, make sure you insert the back of the cover first, and then press the front downward until it snaps into place. Easy peasy!
Now pay attention, because this is important: when you’re playing, always make sure that the Launcher is facing the player whose turn it is. This way, everyone can see the action and have a fair shot at winning.
Oh, and one more thing: don’t worry if the cards don’t shoot out every time you press the button. It’s not a bad thing! In fact, it could work in your favor if you’re the one pressing the button. Just remember, when you press it the right way, you’ll hear a satisfying “ding” sound to let you know you’ve got it down.
Alright, now let’s talk about the game rules. The first player needs to match the card in the DISCARD pile either by number, color, or symbol. Let’s say the card is a red 7 – in that case, you can throw down a red card or any card that has the number 7, no matter the color. It’s all about finding the right match!
Hey there! So, let me explain how UNO Attack! works. It’s a super fun card game that you can play with your friends and family.
First things first, you need to choose a dealer. That’s the person who will be in charge of shuffling and dealing out the cards. You can take turns being the dealer, or you can have someone deal for the whole game. It’s up to you!
Once you’ve picked a dealer, each player gets dealt a hand of cards. The goal of the game is to get rid of all your cards before anyone else does.
Now, here comes the fun part. UNO Attack! comes with a special card launcher. This is where things get exciting! On your turn, you can either play a card from your hand that matches the color or number of the card on top of the discard pile or throw down a special card, if you have one.
If you don’t have a matching card or a special card, you have to hit the launcher button. What happens next is a mystery! The launcher will shoot out a random number of cards, and you have to add them to your hand. Then it’s the next player’s turn.
Remember, when you only have one card left, you need to yell “UNO!” before playing it. If you forget to do this, you have to hit the launcher button twice! Unless, of course, the other players catch you. They might make you draw even more cards.
The game continues until one player gets rid of all their cards. Then it’s time to tally up the points and start a new hand. And that’s how you play UNO Attack! Simple, right?
When it’s time to play a game, everyone chooses a card. The person who chooses the highest number gets to be the dealer. But if you happen to choose a special card, tough luck – it doesn’t count. The dealer gives each player 7 cards and begins the discard pile. They also load the Launcher. Then, it’s the player to the left of the dealer who gets to start the game.
Special Cards
Reverse
If you’ve played any card games before, you’re probably familiar with the concept of a reverse card. This special card is like a magic wand that can completely change the direction of the game. When you play a reverse card, it’s as if time rewinds and the order of play is reversed. It’s a fun and unexpected twist that keeps everyone on their toes.
Imagine you’re playing a game with three players. The order of play is clockwise, with Player 1 going first, followed by Player 2, and then Player 3. But then, Player 2 plays a reverse card. Suddenly, the order of play switches to Player 3, then Player 2, and finally Player 1. It’s a simple change, but it can have a big impact on the game.
Reverse cards are a double-edged sword. On one hand, they can be a great way to shake up the game and keep things interesting. It’s always fun to see the look of surprise on your opponents’ faces when you play a reverse card. On the other hand, reverse cards can also be used against you. Just when you think you have the game all figured out, someone can play a reverse card and completely change the outcome.
So if you’re looking to add an extra element of excitement to your next card game, consider adding a reverse card to the mix. It’s a small card that packs a big punch and will have everyone laughing and strategizing in no time.
What if I told you that you could change the course of a game simply by reversing the direction of play? Instead of going left, you go right, and vice versa. It may sound strange, but it can actually add a whole new level of excitement and strategy to a game.
Imagine this: at the start of the game, a special card is turned up. If it happens to be this card, the dealer gets to play first, and then the play continues to the right instead of the usual left.
But wait, there’s more!
When you come across the “skip” card in the game, it’s bad news for the next player. They have to skip their turn and can’t make a move. It’s like they’re stuck in a tricky situation. If the skip card is the first card that gets turned up at the start of the game, then the person who was supposed to start has to skip their turn, and the player next in line gets to take the first turn instead. This card is a wild card, which means it can change the direction of the game and leave players wondering what’s going to happen next. So, when you’re playing a game and you encounter the skip card, be prepared for some unexpected twists and turns!
Hey there! Let me break down this card game for you. It’s super simple, I promise!
This card right here, it’s a game-changer. You can play it on any other card, no matter what color that card is. And get this – you even get to choose what color comes next! You can pick any color you want, even the one that’s already being played. How cool is that?
Now, check this out. You can play this special card even if you have another card that you could play instead. Yep, you heard that right. It’s like having an extra trick up your sleeve! So, if you’ve got this card, and you want to shake things up, go ahead and play it, my friend.
Oh, here’s one more thing. You know when the game starts and the first card is flipped over? Well, if this card shows up right at the beginning, the player to the left of the dealer gets to call out a color before they start playing. It’s like setting the tone for the whole game, ya know?
Now, let’s talk about something called “Hit 2”.
When you play this card, the person who goes next has to press the Launcher button two times. After that, it’s their turn is over, and the game continues with the next player.
If this card comes up at the beginning of the game, the player to the left of the dealer has to press the Launcher button two times.
Then, the game starts with the next player, who is the second player to the left of the dealer.
Switch Hands
Hey there! So, when I play this card, guess what happens? I have to give my whole hand to someone else! Yep, that’s right – it’s called the Trade Hands card. And get this: I can choose who to trade with! Woah, talk about shaking things up!
Now, if this card happens to show up right at the start of the game, we put it back in the deck and pick another one. We don’t want too much chaos right at the beginning, do we?
But wait, there’s more – Discard All!
When you have a hand full of cards that are all the same color, you can use this card to get rid of them all at once.
Let me give you an example. If there’s a yellow “7” in the Discard pile, you can play this card and discard all the yellow cards in your hand. Just put the yellow Discard All card on top. And guess what? You can even play another Discard All card on top of that one!
But what happens if this card is the first one you turn up at the start of the game? Well, the player to the left of the dealer will have to start with a card of the same color or another Discard All card. If they can’t do that, they’ll have to press the Launcher button. It’s their only choice!
Wild All Hit
Hey, when you play this card, just pick a color and let everyone know. Starting from the player to your left, each person should press the Launcher button once. If any cards fly out, they go straight into the hands of the player who used the Launcher.
Oh, and by the way, if you use the Wild All Hit card, don’t worry about pressing the Launcher button. You’re exempt from that part. After that, the game carries on just like usual.
In case the Wild All Hit card shows up at the start, the same rule applies. Each person takes a turn pressing the Launcher button, starting from the player to the left of the dealer. The cards that shoot out should be collected by the player who activated the Launcher. Just so you know, the dealer doesn’t have to launch anything. Play then resumes as normal.
Wild Hit-fire
When I play this card, I get to choose a color. Then, the player next in line has to press the Launcher button until it shoots out cards.
I get to add the Launched cards to my hand and I have to skip my turn. The game goes on as usual with the next player.
If this card is turned over at the start of the game, only the player to the left of the dealer has to press the Launcher button until it fires. I get to add the Launched cards to my hand and the game begins with the player to my left.
Winning the Game
When I have only one card left, I have to yell ‘UNO’ before playing my second-to-last card. If I forget to do this, I’ll have to press the Launcher button TWICE. Unless, of course, the other players catch me.
If you forget to say ‘UNO’ before your card touches the Discard pile, but if you catch yourself before another player catches you, you’re safe and don’t have to face a penalty.
You can only catch a player for not saying ‘UNO’ when their second-to-last card touches the Discard pile. And you can’t catch a player after the next player starts their turn, which means either playing a card or hitting the Launcher button.
If a player wins by discarding a Wild All Hit card or a Wild Hit-Fire card, everyone has to follow the regular rules for these cards. You can’t win with a Trade Hands card.
When the Discard pile reaches the same level as the plastic “stopper” that holds it in place, shuffle the pile, reload the Launcher, and keep playing.
Special Rules
If there are any cards left sticking out of the Launcher after it’s activated, you have to take those cards and add them to your own hand.
The Game Ends
The first player to reach 500 points wins. But you can also keep track of everyone’s points at the end of each hand to determine the winner.
When one player reaches 500 points, the person with the fewest points becomes the winner.
Scoring
When you run out of cards, you get points for the cards that are left in your opponents’ hands:
- All cards through 9: You get points equal to their face value
- Reverse: You get 20 Points
- Skip: You get 20 Points
- Hit 2: You get 20 Points
- Discard All: You get 30 Points
- Trade Hands: You get 30 Points
- Wild: You get 50 Points
In this game, there are specific rules you need to follow. Let me walk you through them.
First, I want to talk about the scoring. There are two types of cards that give you 50 points: the Wild All Hit card and the Wild Hit-Fire card.
Now, let’s talk about the “Reneging” rule. If you choose not to play a playable card from your hand, you have to hit the Launcher button. After that, your turn is over.
Next, I want to mention the “Penalties” rule. If you suggest a card to another player, you must hit the Launcher button four times.
If you’re playing with just two players, there are some special rules you need to be aware of. When you play a Reverse card, it acts like a Skip card. You can immediately play another card after playing a Reverse. The same goes for the person playing a Skip card.
Lastly, if a Hit 2 card is played and your opponent has hit the Launcher button twice, the play goes back to you.
That’s all for the rules. I hope you have a great time playing UNO Attack!
I want to tell you about a really fun game called Challenge UNO Attack! In this game, you need to keep track of the cards you have in your hand. As you play, you add up the points for each card you’re caught with. Once you reach a certain amount, like 500 points, you’re out of the game.
When there are only two players left, they go head-to-head in a special two-player game. The first player to reach or go beyond the designated amount loses.
At the end of the game, the player who wins the final hand is declared the overall winner of the game. It’s an exciting game that keeps you on your toes!
